The voice reminded me of someone, couldn't really pinpoint though, felt like I've heard it before.
Deus Ex 3

On Sarif? No, he sounded more like Jeff Bridges (Iron Man villain) or someone. Can't pinpoint it myself, either.
The main character does indeed sound like a mix between Christian Bale's throaty Batman voice and Neo, though.

Ingame footage also has some shadow map bugs, overuse of SSAO and no AA.

Apparently there's a comic out from DC that ties into the game, and apparently it spoils intro stuff to the game, and APPARENTLY the first issue ends with someone proclaiming "Deus Ex" as a slogan, which is incredibly cheesy.

Woo, I guess they're looking for it to have the same effect as Batman: Arkham Asylum with that same date

that's way too long to wait for this..

Some gameplay.
Tech wise, I can tell their engine is kind of behind the curve, but It's pretty good looking considering. It doesn't look amazing, but it does the job.
I like the art direction, I would argue It's a bit too brown and monochromatic, but ya know, at least it looks different and it stands out from the crowd. But I bet the texture artists (Klein
) had to struggle with all that amount of color grading going on in the game. One thing I noticed, the world tends to look very blocky, It's almost like the artists didn't really think outside the box when they art passed the levels, and they prefered to stick with the level designer geo.
Everything looks like it's placed very strategically for gameplay, to make the cover swaps, etc. Which makes it look a bit gamey and again, blocky. And there's way too many crates man, but I guess that's what you would find in the back area of a warehouse like this, so...

hp you've still only seen one level from the game. i don't think you should expect a warehouse to be sculpted by an artist, because, you know, it's just a warehouse.
gameplay looks pretty standard to deus ex, looking forward to that. i hope they've got a level editor included aswell, does anyone know the engine?

It's Crystal Dynamics engine (Tomb Raider), so I don't think you'll get a editor.

PS. Their SSAO is the worst I've seen.
-
I dunno. I'm really sceptical about this game still.

I'd be more worried if they weren't showing warehouse environments. The game is probably too much like Deus Ex at this point, really. All they need to do now is not have reload animations and this shit will be perfect.
-
What, you mean you're too good for lowering the gun and wiggling it, huh? Aren't we mr fancy pants gamer, gotta have his realistic animations and his colored lighting. Back in my day, were were glad to have guns at all to reload! Harumph.

I'm still hyped for this
