Do we really need another Crysis Warhead thread when the old one is still on the same page?

Wonder how the multiplayer turned out. I'm curious to see what they've retooled or improved. I really wanted to get into Crysis' MP but something felt like it was missing. Also the weapon buy system seemed rather unforgiving

Crytek once again proves that its one of the premiere shooter developers in the industry, even if it does get an unfair rep as being “just” a technology company. Comments like that make it seem as if the Crytek had a chip on its shoulder, because it addressed almost every complaint about Crysis and then some. I found Warhead to be challenging, exciting, wild, and, yes, very much full of swagger and fury.

I'm pleased that the game is doing very well in reviews and I'm looking forward to play the new missions!

Anyone mentioned it's released via Steam?

Oh and GabeN and Avni Yerli are congratulating themselves

    Quote

"The millions of gamers logging into Steam every week to play today's best PC games are going to love Crysis Warhead," said Avni Yerli, Managing Director at Crytek. "Crytek Hungary has done a terrific job creating this new experience while optimizing CryEngine 2, and we're looking forward to delivering it and the original Crysis as our first offerings on Steam."

"Crytek is one of the industry's great success stories, emerging new technology and talent," said Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve. "Crysis is one of today's leading PC franchises and delivering the original and Crysis Warhead via Steam is landmark for the platform."

What's driving me mad is that they sell Crysis for 40$ in US/NAmk and 60$ in Europe. At least Warhead isn't more expensive than the retail-version... Well, I'll get my Sandbox Editor through University anyway but I was so gonna buy this now if they wouldn't raise the price again...

I see Crysis for 24.99$ and Warhead for 34.99$ on Steam. Thats in sweden. If its really 60$ in germany for only the base game then OMG WTF [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif]

wow steam, so basically the less the people in a country earn in average the cheaper it gets? Thats really cool for the people on poor countrys but WTF is this based on? Thats a fucking scam if you ask me.

edit: didn't saw your prices is in euro. But still if its that much more expensive in germany my point remains...

Anybody in a country where they're available can buy 'em and send them to you on Steam as a gift, you know.

Real fun game, it kicks ass Loved the refinements, such as not needing to press use on the weapons/ammo to pickup ammo. It's the small changes that streamline warhead, not to mention the slight humor added.

I'm happy to see this on steam, afterall it's published by EA who have their own digital transfer system ... Would assume this is something to do with Valve and EA's co-operation.
