    Hey guys.

I'm glad and proud to announce that Portuguese developer Seed Studios, after finishing 3 NintendoDS titles, can finally announce a project for the PlayStation3 platform.

We are very proud of what we are achieving with this new platform, and we are working really hard and putting all our passion into this.

Also, we are going to be present on this year GC (leipzig) to showcase the project to some possible publishers.

This is pretty much what I can tell you so far, hit the jump to our newest website for a little more info.

    Thanks

You say you're announcing a project but I see a distinct lack of project in this OP. :colbert:

Yeah well, it's complicated, i can't just get here and post random screenshots of the first playable build!

We have appointments with some publishers, and even those will have to sign some sort of NDA, because it's a WIP project.

HP will you be at the GC? cause I still don't know if I'll go there but meeting some mapcorians would be a big plus towards the decision (atm I'm only meeting Gabe and Doug from Valve if I go there)

might be a bit much to say "announce" when you don't really announce anything...

He's just a bit anxious I can understand that. Seems like a huge leap for your studio HP. Congrats and good luck!

So HP, why PS3? I can't imagine a single thing about the console that's good for a newbie company for their first big name project, what with the Cell processor and seven cores and might as well be discovered alien technology for how different it is from everything else Especially with region locking and restrictions and console companies being douchebags in general...

    Well anyway Good luck!

ps3 doesn't have region locking for games though.

Can you ask Doug why he never replied to my e-mails?

Is it going to be a PSN or full retail game? Or has that not been discussed yet?

Can you punch any Valve Employee in his/her face? They didn't reply to my emails either.

I must just be loved more, cause they replied to me before, even answered questions I had about the company (I was doing a school project on game design)

Altho I did have to find the right chain of people to send it to in order to get a responce.. for example, I couldnt send anything straight to Gabe or it would be lost forever...

I've had an email about a game not working with the Steam Overlay responded to by a Valve employee (he basically told me "We don't support ancient ass games go play something new"). Shadowman uses DirectDraw, Steam Overlay requires OpenGL or Direct3D.

    Yo guys!

So, here's the first two screenshots of the project I've been working!

I can't tell much about the project yet, apart from what It's already mentioned on the blog, but I'll try to explain it a bit.

It's a PS3 exclusive (PSN title, to be exact) and It will be sort of a adventure / strategy game. As some of you know, It's a small company so we've tried to kind of break new ground, or less "unexplored grounds" such as user generated content (Yes, you will have access to the exact same editor we use when made the levels), and some new innovative gameplay ideas.

RTS's on consoles are rare, and even more rare on PS3, so we hope we can do a good job!

Hope you like the first screenshots, I can also tell you this game will inclue some more varied environments apart from the ones shown here! More info and media, soon...
