im trying to get into accounting because im responsible for a small business....but i have one question

when you're doing bookkeeping you have to do the whole credit/debit thing...but it says you need special numbers for certain items....could someone explain this

any tutorials for accounting would be useful too (or excel templates)

I absolutely hate accounting. It's the worst thing I've been forced to study at my school and it's also the only course I've failed so far~

Every account has a certain code so that you won't need to repeat the name of the account. Some are standard, some aren't. It's been two years since I last studied accounting so I can't really say much other than the fact that it's the most boring thing ever~

Can you be a bit more descriptive?

    It sounds like nominals, but...

if i had to pick a piece of software i would say get quickbooks and it will help you with some of that and make it a lot easier to track all the stuff you need to track

Business math is ridiculously easy. Financing is another ball game though.
