Not bad Nys, looks nice. Kinda strange that the bricks at the top ends at the middle of the brick row perhaps.

Just a small update from my QuakeIV texture set:

    looks really noisy/grainy, Nysuatro.

and it looks like you used the photoshop texturefilter with some standard settings. the black outline doesnt do too much benefit to the texture as well, imo :/

and the colors are really dull. could be a tad more powerful, i think.

moreover i can't really tell what kind of material that grey thing is. could be concrete, metal, and so on....

i don't know, i don't like the texture overall, sry

Three quite basic textures I made using more photo resource, the third one took quite a bit of time working with those bricks and the grey gap between the bricks and brown part will probebly be changed. Comments / Suggestions?

maybe some of you wanted to use vertexcolors or vertexalpha which isnt working for you (or maybe just me) and today i found out how this fake vertexalpha works. its just 2 modulated textures. there is no seperated alphamask. i will write a short tutorial on this tomorrow.

you may use this in many situations. for example: creating cool rain effects, waterfalls, smoke or fireeffects. anywhere you would need animated textures that fade out to one side of a plane.

i didn't quite understand what the tutorial was about. was it just about how to make a scrolling texture on a model? ?
