totally random texture thread

    I usually do like this:

    * add a new layer

    * pick some weird brushes and use them all over the edges

    * ctrl + click the layer

    * select the billboard layer

    * delete the selection

    -update-

    spent a lil time playin some css and came back to show a major wip of a door addition to the wallpaper. Now keep in mind this is my first so dont hate just suggest .

    That brick wall looks good, but why is the cement between the bricks the same color as the bricks? Oo

    generalvivi : Add a doorframe around the door, to get a more realistic transition from the wallpaper.

    For wath i see you used a solid color with a grunge like brush and painted over the texture, this usually doesnt work that well, its better if you do a second texture with the rust(on a diferent layer), and then erase some parts of it.

    you didn't really go overboard with the rust. It just need a wider spectrum of colours, shadows and highlights as well as variated opacity.

    My biggest objection to the texture is that the paint of the ad is just transparent. That's just not how things are
