Ok, will work on those things as well. Thanks for this feedback people, i need to learn to see those things and this really helps

Edit: new version. It's less purple now, fixed a tiling problem and made the rails dirtier and fiddled with the highlights. Had to compress it a lot though to be able to upload it :/

looks good, but the bricks on top look like theyre at an angle. so if you have other textures of the same theme, they have to tile with it.

haha yeah I know, since I didn't care to build it from scratch, and the ref picture was shit.

but if I evr is going to use it ingame, then I'd fix it.

Fix it anyway. It was the first thing i noticed. It's easy enough to fix up. The colors and all look good.

Hmm.. looks like u actually used a roof picture for the wall?.

The shadows in it will make it look very wierd ingame.

To make the door blend in more nicely u need to first cut off those wicked blured sides of it. Then u could add a shadow coming from the top on the door as well as darkening the sides of it slightly. Also. the door seems quite a lot more blurish than the rest, sharpen it up.

After that you'd need to play some with contrast and brightness.

    Dunno if that helped any.

Good try for first texture ever tho.

Just continue to play around and you'll improve fast

The door itself looks too blurry. I think you need to make clear for yourself what exactly you are making. The wall doesn't look like anything i've ever seen in my life. But for a first texture: cool stuff!

my parents made a big deal about how protective the tiling is or something, i live near a beach, so we get hit by a little hurricane every year. Before we got the new siding, we'd lose the old ghetto wood siding and shit when one came by.
