Looks good, but it could use a little colour, I think.

Color. Saturation. Contrast. Unless those are granit stones, it needs those 3 aspects. Take a picture of something green for example. Grass or something. Use it as a Monitor-Layer (not sure how this is called in PS/English, im using GIMP/german version) at a low opacity (eg. 15-20% would do the job), merge both monitor and base layer and increase saturation, lower brightness a bit (-10%) and increase contrast (+5%).

I'm not sure if they're granite or not:

Don't recommend something when you haven't shown a single, good texture. Contrast and color are perfectly fine. The overall saturation is good, but I'd recommend turning the brightness down a tad bit, a long with giving it a bit more grime.

Well, I wanted to make it quite generic because it will be used on quite a large roof (on top of a skyscraper ), but perhaps I'll make some grunged-up variants of it. In the meantime:

Only tiles horizontally due to the source image.

That would tile horrible due to the color varation from top to bottom. Tone the sharpness down a little, and remove the shadows. Also, whats up with that bigass brick in the middle? Doesn't look 'natural'.

looks cool but it does look too much like a photo

I'll fix the brick - they're 3 seperate bricks but perhaps I covered over the mortar a bit.
