My first serious texture, a clean wood floor and plaster wall

looks like F.E.A.R. Nice
The door ruins the shot, but it does look nice - love the wood.
ricks too serious for that, man.
Heh, maybe Rick ![]()

Method: Awesome stuff as always.
SKULLHOZER: Ooooh shiney ![]()
NightWolf: Not bad for first textures!
Quote from buddy the designerLol yeah, right Rick, these look just like tiled photos from cgtextures, that's totally wrong way to approach stuff, "hi guys I made these awesome textures (cgtexture photo, cropping, offset, stamp)"
And the right way would be: "hi guys I made these awesome textures (environment textures photo, cropping, offset, stamp)" ?
The right way to do is to make them look good ![]()
Two Variations, I also toned down the reflectiveness of the wood.

Both are nice combos, but I really love the second - nice.
The second is def easier on the eyes ![]()
Nice. I do think you should have almost no normal at all on the floors tho. If you would look at such a reflective floor irl it wouldn't be that rough most likely.
Kick the normalmap!
