I always found it pretty odd how the weapons in wow would do, say, 300 damage but only do 120 or so damage a second. As shown in that picture.

"Damage per second" means the weapons average damage divided over the time between swings. Lets do some math, based on the weapon in said picture:

    Mininum damage plus maximum damage , divided by 2, and then divided by swingtime = 332 + 498 = 830 / 2 = 415 / 3.2 = 129,6875 (rounded up : 129.7)

Then you can just do it the other way, DPS times the weapon-speed: 129.7 * 3.2 = ~415

    I just got +1000 nerdpoints!

I can't wait for Wrath of the Lich King; I get to kill more monsters, in order to get better loot, in order to be able to kill more monsters, but more easily! YAY!

And I have to pay to do that as well! Woo.

I haven't played WoW for 6 months, and hell, it has been awesome.

I think Zyndrome just proved to be well worthy of a beta key...or a life counselour, depending on how you look at it

If TBC is anything to go by, you'll replacing it way before then. And if you've any tier 5 (the old tier 2) you'll be replacing it with green purchasable crafting patterns in the first city... I just deleted two paragraphs. I can't even write that sentence with going into rant mode about the WoW I used to love.

Still no beta key, and I get more uneasy for every day that passes without one, cause I really want to try out the new class 'Death Knight'. So I can decide if I want to reroll to Death Knight or stay on my Paladin, when the expansion comes (after I've tried it for a long period of time in the beta).

Being in a end-game raiding guild, 'Wrath of the Lich King' gives me a great opportunity to start playing a new class and be 'Death Knight' as main in my guild, but then I want to see if it's worth it ...

Give EU beta key, god damnit!

Why would you even want to play the beta? It would practically ruin the expansion for you on release...

Heh, I played the Burning Crusade beta, didn't have much impact on my experience with it on release.

What's there to ruin? You get the experience before most players, and a heads-up on the quests/mobs/locations for the upcoming 96 hour grind.
