Max Payne [movie]

I don't like it that much. It's ok but really cheesy. I think what's turning me away from this is his voice.

Keep seeing the trailer in the cinema and less and less of it looks like anything from the games. I spot the odd things and then they throw in something completely random. I guess its not sticking too closely too it.

If the (strangely male) Valkyrie is their take on the dream sequences it’s pretty faithful, isn’t it? Max Payne was some noir comic book narrative about revenge for his dead wife, and then him jumping at people in slow motion through a succession of environments. Ranging from a subway and construction site before the finale in a skyscraper. Pretty hard to mess up.

I'm not sure the actor does the whole noir narration right though, or resemble Max Payne... A rather strange choice.

And wtf, they fucked up with child gender. It was a baby girl, not a baby boy! I know It's nit picking, but still...

I can't believe I actually cared to take screenshots, but I was playing the game anyways, so yeah...

Yeah, you're going to have to let go a bit when it comes to the finer details. If stuff like the baby's gender bothers you, I'm guessing the bigger changes (of which there'll be many, make no mistake) will send you crazy.

I quite like Marcs work, shooter was cool , should be neat

It looks ok, don't know why they have to change stuff so much, baby boy instead of a girl fits better with the 'American Dream' though I guess.

Well, the trailer looks ok as a movie but it colud be called in many different titles - "Max Payne" was a game, different that the movie...

I enjoyed the first and the second part of the game but I haven't seen any BIG motives similiar to that movies... I don't like american productions becose in many movies there's a "God" and "Devil"... Ahhh I'm going back to "Bad Lieutenant", that was a cool movie...

No animated graphic novels?! I really was expecting this, since they would add a lot to the movie, at least they could have putted them on the intro and end of the movie.

Lack of action scenes, most of the movie, especially the beginning is plain boring.

On the Jack Lupino vs Max Payne fight, BB shows up and shoots Lupino in the back?! wtf?! how gay is that?! Max Payne should have pwnd him, and in the end Mona should have arrived to the scene and finish the job, just like the game!

the main villain of the movie is BB?! wtf, and what's with the end scene with BB on top of the building waiting for the chopper? Wasn't the old women taking this role?! And that chopper never came...

I kinda liked the fact that Valkyr as a drug was initially the project to create the super soldier, but only worked on 1% of the people who take it, and when Max drinks it, he turns into one, again, a risky move, but it worked quite well on the movie.

Make sure you sit through the closing credits for a bonus scene that sets up a possible sequel.
