Diablo 3

    The music in Diablo is fucking incredible. Seriously, that is magician shit or something, it blows my mind every time I hear it. It's a shame to Matt Uelman isn't coming back

    Interestingly though, he is now composing the music for Torchlight 2! He also did the soundtrack to Torchlight 1 as well. It's pretty good, very Diablo-esque!

    How much did the Diablo fans in the room enjoy Torchlight? I played it for a few hours and fear that either this kind of game has lost its appeal for me, or Torchlight was just missing something that Diablo had. I remember being hardcore addicted in highschool/college.

    i only got so far in it before i got bored, it kinda felt like diablo 1 as you were just going down and down, even though the environments changed.

    Also i felt a bit overpowered for most of the game.

    torchlight was just straight up bad. and boring. d2, in comparison, still rocks.

    I find it weird that so many people dislike Torchlight. It is essentially Diablo I with a few new features and different art style. I can spend hours trudging through the dungeons just like I did when I played Diablo as a kid, still my favorite game of the series. Honestly I'm looking forward to Torchlight II just as much as Diablo III.

    Still, +1 on the overpowered thing, very little of the game feels as challenging as Diablo I did.

    I enjoyed Torchlight, I never ended up finishing it though. The final boss kept killing me and I just didn't care at that point. It wasn't as enjoyable as either Diablo game but I think largely because Diablo, especially the first, is very dark and ominous, which I'm really attracted to. There's more mystery and yet there's always fear creeping up behind you. TC was just too casual and lighthearted for me to really get into. I need my rpgs to be serious if they're about demons, monsters and dungeons.

    I'm sure I'll pick up TC2 but I'm not expecting it to be anything more than a game I'll jump in and out of when I want something quick to play in my free time.

    Though I will say that Runic is doing an awesome job listening to their fans, including multiplayer, lan, etc.
