RE4 was a great disappointment to me, let's see with RE5.

They should rename it to FIFA 2009

Resident Evil 4 was a big disappointment for you? Man, that thing is seen as one of the best games of the decade by most.

Yes I know, most of the people get very surprised when I say this...

I loved too much RE1/2/3 for PS1, and when RE4 came out, I was expecting something along the lines of the original games!

For me, the true RE4 is Resident Evil Code Veronica for Dreamcast!

Without a doubt one of the games I'm looking most forward to, even if it feels slightly racist

Well actually I didn't think about that at all until news stories started popping up with some people being kinda skeptical about having a white guy run around in some African village shooting black people ( http://kotaku.com/5012678/resident-evil ... s-producer ). All I'm really seeing is just another Resident Evil game and these are just the enemies you're shooting this time around, just part of the environment, perfectly fine.

But we've been talking a lot about this at work, that this is the location and these are the people that live there. People tend to get too touchy about these things, when its really more about making it feel like a more believable environment. Really anything should be do-able if its done with some bit of good taste.

Anyway, now I'm obviously racist because I mentioned it

for me all people ARE "SO" equal that i didn't even notice it was black people you shoot until all the outrage story's hit kotaku ... thats how LITTLE of a racist i am.

if you ask me resident evil 4 is one of mankinds greatest achievements that can only be topped (and just barely) by the likes of god of war and shadow of the colossus. and since there is no new real ueda or god of war 3 footage yet RE5 "IS" my most anticipated game of all right now.

Oh wow... Well, Maybe I'll buy the PS2 version, and play it on my PS3. I think a statement like that, deserves another go of the game from my part.

Since the RE4 I played was for PC, and the port was horrible.

Playing the PC version of RE4 is right there with gluttony, greed and lust on the sins measurement of evil you know?

GameCube and Wii versions are the best if you can get them, although I think even the Wii is beaten by the GameCube version (a lot of people prefer the original controls and it's better reviewed).

The PC version did seem pretty poor, although I think a lot of the game's beauty also came from most people playing it on a non-HD television. It looks significantly less impressive on HD or PC screens.

Yeah the PC version is apparently really bad, I've talked to like 4 people at Io that played it and absolutely hated it. That would never have happened with the good ol GC RE4. Still thinking about getting the Wii version, but its not cheap enough yet

I see where you're coming from, I'm a huge fan of the old RE formula (Code Veronica most underrated of them all omg) but I loved RE4 equally. It still has the heart and soul of the old games, I'd suggest giving it another try, really.
