    Hi everyone,

I'm leading a very talented mod team working on a TC mod for UT3 with the intention to take the grand prize of the Make Something Unreal contest. We are looking for talented individuals to join us in this creative process.

Why should you spend your valuable time working with us?

Well the team is run by myself and Jeremy. Both of us were in lead roles on the Red Orchestra project over several years of its development. (Red Orchestra won the previous MSU contest grand prize) Since the success of RO and its eventual commercial release by the Tripwise Interactice I worked at Ubisoft on titles like Rainbow Six Vegas. Jeremy meanwhile produced another award winning mod for Half Life 2 called Insurgency. Now with the announcement of yet another MSU contest we've decided to team up once more to produce another top class total conversion mod.

So if you are looking to work with a talented group of individuals and invest your time into something that will in the end be worth your while this is it.

We are looking for artists and programmers to join our team. If you are interested in getting involved please drop me a PM with your portfolio and experience and I will get back to you with more details about the project and where it's headed.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers!

Top opportunity to get your name out there - both the MSU contest and joining a project run by these two handsome gentlemen!

Wish you could at least give away the theme though and what happened to Jeremy's Crysis project *cough*?

Seems interesting, and I've been wanting to learn the unreal editor...

Maybe in a month or so when I get my stuff in order after this education is done.

    Hi guys!

O.T. When Jeremy approached me with the Crysis project I managed to convince him to wait for the upcoming MSU contest and here we are

    Project one-liner.

A FPS with intense and captivating game play as well as beautiful and immersive visuals combined to give the player an amazing experience.

    Story background.

In early 2012 the world economy came to a screeching halt virtually overnight. While the signs of the glooming crisis due to the depletion of natural resources have been evident years earlier the full blown consequences of it were minimized and delayed for several years via artificial influx of fiat money into the global circulation. These actions however continued to depreciate the currencies of major countries causing a global hyper inflation of mass proportions until the eventual collapse of markets.

This global collapse led to a series of nasty resource wars all over the world. The standard of living fell sharply in the developed countries plunging millions of people into poverty and despair. With the information age being as it is the people were aware of visionaries who offered the solutions to the current crisis but those solutions asked of major sacrifices on behalf of the ruling elite. This lead to the relentless crack down on the civil liberties by the governments of the world, restricting free media, movement, assembly, aggressive and disproportionate punishments for petty crimes and etc. This was the cause of the riots and the eventual rebellion around the world.

We're still looking for talented developers so don't forget to give me a shout!

In terms of gameplay, how do you see this mod in relation to the other projects you two have been working on (RO and INS).

I'm guessing this is a Multiplayer? Two teams? DM? Objective types? Do you have any gameplay concepts that are intruiging (besides the post apocalypse theme which i deeeg).

We are not going to be reinventing the wheel but rather building on existing concepts out there. The goal is to make the game play fun and that will be the driving force behind design decisions. (Unlike realism was for RO for example) There are many game play concepts being discussed and we are evaluating their feasibility and validity as it applies to programming and overall design. I also want to try and have game play be driven by the story wherever possible as I think it is integral to immersive experience.

We are starting of with a multiplayer however the story is being written with single player in mind and there might be episodes of it released along side with MP development.

    Cheers!

Our team is shaping up great with about 50% of industry professionals. We are progressing with the development as well and are well on our way. We are still looking for more artists and programmers to come on board though. So please let me know via a PM if you are interested !

    Hey guys,

Wasn't aware of this thread The story is essentially an international revolution that starts in America where the sides are essentially our generation vs. authorities. The gameplay is a mix of first person and cover-based, with a reward system where you get money over time and with this money you can buy new weapons and upgrades (as many as you want) and other items from the Black Market.

I won't tell anything else since some of the details are still being ironed out, so you'll have to wait for the official website launch which will probably happen after we already have a solid internal release (in the next few months).

Things are coming along quite nicely. We can however use a few level designers with UnrealEd experience to work on maps located in New Orleans and San Francisco in the year 2020 or so. If interested don't hesitate to get in touch with ShadowM8 as I'll be in Israel for the next 8 days.

    Thanks
