Dm_snowfall Beta2 (pics and download)

    Hi guys,

    This is beta 2 of my map Dm_Snowfall, its set in a snowy mountain range with abandoned huts, tunnels and caves to fight in. I would really appreciate some feedback in terms of gameplay and anything else you wish to comment on

    Use Packrat to pack your custom content into the .bsp, all players will have pink houses if you don´t do so

    -the entrances of the cave are all round, circles, don´t know if it is realistic, i´ve never seen one lol, but it looks a bit weird to me..

    -those fences @ rpg also look weird, they don´t really fit in the theme, maybe try to build a snowy wood fence there

    -in such a map i would have added 2 mags and 2 xbows, but thats not a serious thing ;D

    i like the map, do the packrat thing and remove rpg and í´ll upload it on our server

    It's strange you have that purple texture problem, all my custom stuff is pakrated into it, the texture on that house is a standard hl2 texture and i've not had any other complaints about this. I wonder if its an episode one texture or something related... do you have episode one installed?

    Hi Freak,

    The texture is called wood/woodwall030a. The only custom stuff i used was some blending vtf's for the snow and the rock. So i really dont see why its showing up purple

    the texture doesnt work for me, i watched it in-hammer and its pink, too.

    it should work for others cuz you said you´ve got other custom content in this map and the wood/woodwall030a is the onlyest thing i noticed

    from here, rpg and the circle-hole-entrances are the only things that aren´t good in this map, nj
