You ought to get the real one with the cool gunmetal color...

Think there's some exclusive deal though with this one.. has to be ordered through a specific retailer.

Yeah, that one you posted is almost impossible to get here in Europe. Plus, it's only 20gb.

But I've been doing some goggling, and the bundle I posted, (PS3 80gb + MGS4) is USA only!

I guess I'm gonna have to buy the ordinary 40gb PS3, too bad it doesn't have PS2 backwards compatibility. And no DualShock!

On the bright side, you can pick up a PS2 slim for the money that you save from getting the version without backwards compatibility (the lack of PS2 hardware inside is largely behind the price drop). I was surprised how small the PS2 slim is — possibly even smaller than a Wii?

Guarantees perfect compatibility with PS2 games anyway, so worth considering.

Ah yes, yes, I own a PS2 slim! Bought it a few months back just to play MGS3!

It's indeed very very slim, and light. it feels like an empty piece of plastic!

It's amazing the speed of the technological advances nowadays!

I gotta admit that visually I'm not really that impressed this time around. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks good, but considering how a game like MGS2 basically looked better than anything else even 4 years after its release, then this looks a bit more down to earth. It still has the look of a PS2 game, just ressed and polied up, but a lot of Japanese games have that problem in this generation I think.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by GTA IV :G

I agree with mazy there. these are the only "real" screenshots released so far. The only shots I've seen that I believe it's near the final thing!

Well, this still looks very Metal Gear'ish, and I'm so glad it does!

    Hell yes.

That may seem ridiculous to a non-MGS fan, but to be honest that's exactly the kind of thing I expect and look forward to in an MGS game. They don't feel so long when you're playing though; I didn't notice that one was nearly 45 minutes long in MGS2, and just remember it as one big masterpiece of game storytelling.

The best news is clearly the pause ability though. That's the only thing that annoyed me about the previous games.

Nice to see Kojima wising up to the fact that, sometimes, peeing is more important than a games story.

Even though I can't stand that voice, the trailer is really badass. Hollywood- blockbuster trailer quality.

Haha that part sounded ridiculous. Cool trailer though.

So you buy a game to watch cinematics... and not like, play the game? Get a movie instead? :s

it's one of the best sides of MGS, always been, always will be, the awesome cinematics! Some of them better than some of the action movies outhere, and those cutscenes are skipable of course, and MGS gameplay is great as well!
