Damn, gamevideos always sucked, the URL's are fucked up...

Hehe aye, it looks good tho. Still interested in seeing if theres more to it than just jumping around on rooftops or if theres something going on down on the ground as well

I think that was an excellent teaser trailer and I'm glad it was all in-game footage. The brightness, crispness and interesting music combined with 1st person platforming and hand-to-hand action gave it a "sophisticated" Nintendo feel, if there is such a thing. (really? no shooting according to Gamespot but you did shoot in that trailer but who knows...)
I also like how your character is realastic looking and in a realistic environment though you're doing unrealstic things...though not unrealistic for a video game which isn't that unrealistic if you don't feel that realism needs to be unrealistically real, which in this case is totally realistic in an unrealistic sort of way.
:brainexplode:
Thumbs up. I'm into this.

digg the pre-calculated GI stuff and also the music
but a first person game with focused on level navigation i just don't see it happen and making fun
-
im absolutely loving the music in that video !
it creates a really awesome atmosphere with the video footage, imo. the visual style of the game in motion looks even better than on the previously released screen material.
in case anyone knows the interpret and title of the music (but i guess it's game soundtrack) - post it here

really loving it !

Agreed. I loved the music. It was both video-gamey and anti-video-gamey at the same time. It actually has a slight touch of EA's SSX3 in some of the "station" sections of mountains except this has a more dramatic feel.
As for the drama in the story...
Quote from WikipediaThe story revolves around a runner named Faith and her struggle to free her sister from a corrupt government. She is a young woman appearing to be of Chinese descent. Her parents were killed and she was forced to grow up on the street, later becoming a runner. Faith was taught not to rely on modern forms of communication, partially because the ruthless police state prefers eavesdropping every chance they get. So electronic communication is out. As Faith attempts to rescue her sister, while running messages for the criminal underworld, she gets caught up in a series of events which lead to her being pursued by the totalitarian government. Acting as Faith's guide is a mysterious character named Mercury, who will help Faith in her attempt to outwit and overcome many government agents that are out to eliminate her.

Looks beautiful, well made teaser. One of the few games where I'm more interested in how "it feels" rather than how it looks (and I'm not even speaking of complex gameplay, but just the controls...I hope things like keeping balance come across via controls just as well as they are presented visually).

I definitely think this is going to be something special. Been following it for a while and if nothing else, the way DICE are trying to push forward the mechanics of FPS (which've hardly evolved in a long time) will be great. From what playtesters have said, this is pretty much the first FPS where you actually feel like you're controlling the weight and momentum of a human body, rather than just a weighted camera with a gryoscope as most FPS games feel like.

Even if the game itself is poor — although unlikely considering the developers — I imagine its innovations will push forward the genre in general.

I'll be playing this for the heavy breathing innovative approach to traversal.
-
Looks VERY nice indeed.
-
Maybe SimonWT knows more on the music? afaik he's working on the title.
ya - love it as well. First time Dice really amazes me since they made Battlefield 1942.
-
That is awesome!
Art style reminds me of ultra violet.
-
Well that was boring.

Someone running. Wow.
-
Looks awesome. Glad it lived up to the early screenshots.
-
The control scheme sounds really interesting also. Something about one button is about moving up, and another is moving down, and you just use the two analog sticks to move/look around. Everything else is based on your momentum at the time, and whether you want to go up or down.
-
This is my most anticipated game this year, hands down. I really love the artistic direction, and I certainly hope the controls are the main emphasis in their design or it'll suck big time.
