Congrats on the Cintiq! I'm no artist but recently was thinking if to get a Wacom tablet. Since I'm no artist and sorta feel the need of a tablet, wondering if a Surface would do the trick for now.

    Anyway, share your creations! ;)

just to confuse matters further benq have a 240hz monitor that's actually 120hz native.

Haven't read it, but by the data, sounds like what Carmack was talking about on the Oculus stage… I recently watched the two keynotes he had this year, I think I'm referring to the one in November 2014. There's basically a software way to draw every other line which would count as double refresh. He was describing he was (is) pushing Samsung to try something like that (should be a way to have higher refresh rates whilst using the same power, so precious for mobiles -- then I'm not an expert so that's my understanding).

Yeah the human eye would fill in the blanks anyway..would like to try it but £800 for a monitor?..I'll wait until it's more common I guess :P

I'm using a 27inch LG IPS. I was stupid enough to think size>speed :( rip me.

For 99% of the monitors, it's 60 Hz. And high-frequency monitors don't exist on IPS monitors, IPS technology is too slow (but it has wayyyy better vertical viewing angles than TN)

Not anymore. Since the beginning of the year, IPS 144Hz (1440p) gaming displays are coming. The price tag is still high, but one of these will definitely be my next monitor :3 Probably the ASUS PG279Q :)

    Oh :o

Wow nice, with G-sync all these new stuff, that's great. We will still have to make sure there is no ghosting effect, with a great reaction time. Thanks for the info

There are already some released with this panel. For example the Acer XB270HU and the ASUS MG279Q. Soon there will be the EIZO FORIS FS2735 aswell. :) I'm sure you will find some tests for the first 2 mentioned.

So I definitely need a new mouse:

You can definitely see how much is worn my trustworthy Logitech Pilot 300, not sure you can appreciate that also the bottom left edge is worn… result is mouse is unstable and wobbles left and right.

I'm not gonna buy another Razer, as the one I have never worked properly. Tried to contact them past days they haven't even read the Facebook message.

I've seen other suggesting the Steelseries, had a quick look but prices vary a lot. Something in the 40£ would be perfect, will evaluate if to spend more (70£?). Confusing, on Amazon same model had different prices with no clear technical differences other than colour.

I like ambidextrous mouses although I'm right handed.

I've used a lot of mice over the last few years due to my abusive tendencies. Right now I been using the sensei raw from Steelseries and have been quite enjoying the experience. It has lasted my two months of extreme abusive use with out any hitches, until the mouse wheel started squeaking a few days ago. I'm not too sure what to make of this, perhaps I will put it out of its misery, or seek medical help for my mouse. Previously, I was using a Zowie Fk1 until it was stolen way during a lan party, I hope Zowie's new owner is less abusive. While both mice are very good, the Zowie FK1 is the cheaper option, and the one I would buy again.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with a Razer mouse. Had like 5 of them now and they've all lasted me years.

Facebook might not be the best place to reach them? Twitter or email might be better? I'm sure they'd want to sort you out.

Wtf are you doing to your mice?! I've got the full fat sensei, and the mouse wheel started to squeak a bit as well, it's since worn down a bit and is absolutely fine. I've had my sensei now since... 2012! Wow, longer than I realised.

Razer have notoriously bad customer service. Great products while they work, but I know plenty of people who look to avoid them entirely on the off chance something does go wrong.

I've been using mice of this series since years (currently have a G400s) and I wouldn't want anything else. But they're not ambidextrous.

Well their PRs post every day, how can you not see a message?

Problem is they don't owe me anything technically, warranty is long gone. I just thought the problems I had were because of using it on the Mac… I trusted the brand and no one could have expected the mouse to die completely. I'm sure it's an isolated case.

I asked for a discount, I think that's just fair as I was never able to use the mouse basically.

Anker (battery packs) for eg offered me a discount to buy a smaller unit when I asked if they could replace mine I wasn't using because too bulky - unfortunately I contacted them 1-2 days after the 30 days limit for returns, otherwise they would have replaced it.

Won't receive it until a forecast early November, but I ordered myself the new Nexus 6P 64GB Graphite:

It's a little smaller than the beautiful Mororola Nexus 6, but I can't wait to get my hands on the next little marshmallow slab of android! :D

In totally unrelated news, is anyone interested in an impeccable, original Nexus 6? ;)

    I've just placed an order.
As all the Steelseries mice seem to be couple years old and the Sensei's lateral buttons seem too easy to press, I went for the cheaper Kana V2

    [Blocked Image: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71DW98dr-HL._SL1500_.jpg]

also got a cheap mouse pad, I have a Roccat surface but when I got it I didn't know that it was a sticky one and that after 4-5 times of being pulled from the table it wouldn't stick anymore, now there's some air bubble right in the middle...

    [Blocked Image: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51l3Jcv9KcL._SL1000_.jpg]

and also got a laptop sleeve. Wanted something slimmer, but all the neoprene cases I've seen are either too thing or don't seem good quality. This sure looks strong and at 20£ seems very honestly priced, maintaining a slim factor to fit in a backpack.

I hope you don't mind the smaller size of the Kana. I could never get a good grip on it and my hand would cramp up. Its a great mouse if you travel around with a laptop but I wouldn't use it as a desktop mouse as it is small.
