Seems to me more and more like WB will extend their games segment and take over the whole thing...

Yeah, still not quite sure what to make of this. Phil Rogers seems like a good guy tho, and apparently the core studios aren't gonna be touched.

People getting fired sucks, but I gotta admit that Eidos definitely needs some structuring around. It's been a mess the last while, and I'm actually pretty confident that better times are ahead now~

Inside sources have informed 1UP that Eidos's entire PR, marketing, and sales department has been laid off as part of the deal with Warner Bros.

    Holy crap

(...)in a deal that saw Warner taking over a greater share of the Tomb Raider business and SCi getting the rights to some weird properties like Batman, Looney Tunes and old Hannah Barberra cartoons (including Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear and Tom and Jerry).

Good times ahead for you indeed Mazy, I can clearly see it in my mind:

"From the creators of the "Hitman" series and "Kane & Lynch" comes a new blockbuster game starring an old friend...it's "Yogi the bear - Codename honey pot"

So it was made public today that Infogrames' offer to buy SCi was rejected, making it all the clearer Warner wants a say in the company's future.

As much as this sucks for the people involved, I am afraid that it was badly needed. It should be said that this is not so much about the Warner Bros deal as much as it's about the plan for cutting 25% of the expenses.

We here in IO are going to be mostly untouched and if anything there will be people from Wimbledon moving in here as PR and marketing will now be done more in-house.

The company currently taking care of most of the Warner Bros licensed games is Deadline. They currently have 10 small games in production(with assistance from an outsourcing studio) based on those properties.
