Where should I go in Germany?

I hate Bauhaus. Most dullest stuff ever. It certainly played a very important role in modern architecture and design (especialy in lowering prices) but to me it stands for all the modern stuff that i consider butt ugly.

Maybe you are mixing things up. Bauhaus defined the standards for modern design and archictecture, as they unfortunately did for "modern art". I agree that modern art is dull and ugly, but modern design isn't. If it wasn't for the Bauhaus we would still be buying overpriced shit with basically no consideration to who is purchasing it. I like to see IKEA and the like as bauhaus byproducts, instead of all this post modernist art movement bullshit which is pure garbage in my opinion.

I don't consider most of modern design and architecture Bauhaus anymore. We have overcome this era and found methods and techniques to produce more organic and detailed stuff for afforable prices. If you look in citys the ugliest buildings are the ones from post war era 50s,60s,70s office and appartement buildings. The ones that are most influenced by bauhaus in their style. It was necessary back then to build them but i'm glad for every one that gets replaced with something nicer.

I don't really like the bauhaus type design (architecturally) either, however what they accomplished in the bauhaus was pretty significant.

I am an industrial design graduate, they preached the bauhaus stuff relentlessly.

Yeah, anyone who touched an art based subject during their education from high school onwards probably had the bauhaus inflicted upon them.
