Let someone else jugde if it's worthy of the name, like the original developers, or atleast someone that have played the original games

Hahaha buddy you got that right.

I played the original fallouts and the low res isometric monochromatic brown was a turnoff Bethesda is faithfully keeping the original color palette, as well as the bugs, at least movement-wise, by the looks of it.

I wonder if Fallout 3 will also take you to a trashy crime ridden city where you can be a porn star. I quit Fallout 2 at that point in the game because it was so boring and monotonous to travel around that area.

Fallout 2 had better roleplaying than Fallout 1 but the level design took a sharp nosedive. It started with that horrible cave filled with scorpions that's impossible to get through as a non-melee character without abusing saves and luck, and didn't get better as it went along.

Me too and I'm still pretty excited about this.

    That's why.

We get it, you don't like the look of Fallout 3... But please, stop being so cynical, it's getting a little old!

Seconded. This goes to the whole team cynical

    bla bla bla

Use the spear in your inventory? I've played all kinds of characters, and I always manage to get past the tempel of trails...

    ps. New Reno is great.

Temple of Trials is good way to learn mechanics, you had the same thing in Fo1 with rat cave. I dont see a problem in there.

The temple of trials decides of who are the real heroes and the rest, this goes the same way for the players ...........

It had like 20% chance to hit. I made the same character in Fallout 2 that I did in 1, one designed to be able to max perception and agility and shoot everybody ten times in the eye each turn. That character? Yeah, he's not so hot with a goddamn spear. Not too great endurance, either. There are a couple dozen enemies and each did about 1/4 damage, and took 2-3 hits to kill at 20% chance to hit.

You start Fallout 1 with a gun and knife, and none of the rats are in the way of exiting the cave. It's also only one screen instead of four or so. There are no dead ends or puzzles to solve or items required to find. The space in general is also significantly wider in case you do get in combat with one, there's room to get around and run. You can just walk out into the world and start playing the game without lifting a finger if you don't want to or can't take on a group of rats just yet because you made a non-combatant character.

    100/100

    Official Xbox Magazine

Games this captivating do not come along often. Between its engrossing story, ginormous world, well-crafted RPG side, and white-knuckle FPS combat, Fallout 3 completely, utterly gives you your $60 worth. [Dec 2008, p.52]

I lol'd. How cna a game get 100/100?! There is no game in the world that deserves that kind of rating. Retarded magazine I see.
