No, it looks very uninspired standard and boring, especially the environments.

    Bethesda are good at that.

Bethesda is good at making boring environments?!

    Care to elaborate?

    Morrowind

    Oblivion

    Fallout 3

    elaborated enough?

Well Fallout 3 isn't that boring enviroment wise but Oblivion and Morrowind felt like "hey look we have a terrain generator and we have random, boring creatures in it + super unnatural looking graphics trying to look real!"

Plus some of the most boring quest systems ever (Morrowind: "Hey climb up that tower, sit there 6 hours and see the obvious that some idiot is hiding stuff inside an old tree")

Hell I hated Morrowind I just hope Fallout 3 is a lot more fast paced than it. The environment definitely lacks some color indeed, I hope you can turn that crappy color correction off.

I'm really looking forward to this game. As long as you treat it as a spin-off instead of sequel you won't be disappointed imo.

Morrowind was awesome for its time, especially its environment and level of detail.

Oblivion looked good tech wise, but it was so horribly bland and boring. Super standard green trees and the most standard medieval houses one can come up with, where was the art styling? Morrowind on the other hand, had some pretty nice styling.

Fallout doesnt only seem to lack color, but the lighting and geometry in general is not so nice. Lighting usually only seem to come from 1 source (ambient or sun), and things like that supermarket are just a big cubic space with shelves in. If you are going to make a supermarket, give it two stories, highlight some areas (car on display for example), fountain, glass elevators, etc.

Of course all of their games are really huge in size, so it isnt so easy for them to spend a lot of time on just 1 area, but still, I feel with a few relatively easy changes it can look more inspired.

Well i was trying to point this one since day 1. It doesnt really look like good Fallout follow-up, where everything was nice and detailed

jetset, my point is that they take something that is world known, and has a theme and a way of doing it, and makes it into something else.

also, the animations sucked imo, atleast the walking of the NPCs.

just to bring back life to this thread while we wait for more news.

One thing I really want them to fix is to get more varied body shapes i nthe game. In Oblivion everyone was as fit as a top model, or one of the spartans from 300... even the old ladies and the merchants were perfectly fit.

I want fat people in the game too!

Wow this is the best site I have ever seen. I just hope they are pouring as much love in the game as they are in the advertising.

I took the GOAT test and apparently I'd be a good "Marriage Conselor"

Hey, the TV's a Radiation King. Just like on the Simpsons.

And I love how the left and right trigger markers for the 360 are there.

To any purists out there I can just imagine after the game is released for Pc someone will mod it so that its isometric camera and uses the time units like the previous Fallouts.
