my first dslr photos

    hi there,

    here is my first set of photographs i made with my canon 10d. im very happy with it and i thank everyone who gave me advice on what to buy you guys are the best..! i made the photos on my way back from school (ive to walk now since my bike has been stolen ) and i used a 20 euro 2nd hand 38-76mm lens

    anyway, here it is. i have to add that i really have to build up my intiutive control with my digital dslr. every day i learn something new.

    The colours are really vibrant, did you tweak them in PS or is that how your camera is taking them? If its the latter could be a problem unless you've got a preset colour mode like Vibrant on.

    Good pics none the less.

    yeah theyre practically all redfined in psp. apart from the lens restrictions (its canon's cheapest, literrally) i want to learn how to handle my photo's in psp. i hope im not overdoing it..?

    are they shot in raw? because as much as the colors look good I thought I'd spot some color-steps which seem to occur from to heavy jpeg color-manipulation :S

    Great fotos none the less!

    pic 2 - burnt sky!!! use the histogram in your camera to assist you. i'm sure you've got it. set exposure for the sky

    pic 3 - good

    i've just read deatails about 10D at steve's digicams and... dude, this is a fvcking amazing piece of gear!!! real pro stuff! learn to use it and you'll have really pro photos. read some basics about photography on the web (ie the speed vs aperture vs sensitivity triangle issue) and exercise!
