skdr: nice level! I'd however like the props better to be physical because right now they are just visblockers and you can run through them and can't shoot them. In the typical TF2-Battles at the end of granary it's one of the little details that in a rush of rockets the props fly around and stuff - was missing it here.

There are only few props I forgot to set to use vphysics. Like some boxes and few tirestacks and woodpanels, nothing big. These will be fixed in the next release. Thanks for the comment

CP_Redstone, assembled by Shacknews community member -sk-, is perhaps the prettiest and most promising custom TF2 map I've run across.

    Congrats!

so i played it, and really is a nice map, fitting in nicely with the TF2 theme, good(balanced) and fast gameplay.

    5 Hurg award!

Superb work, skdr! Is the TF2 community supportive of custom maps?

Yeah but they tend to play orange_x maps instead of these. Which is definitely not that surprising

Heh. Yes, TF2 players do seem to really enjoy junky maps. Our Battle Creek (based on the Halo map) server is pretty much our most popular, with Yaaargh! not coming far behind. The latter isn't bad, but it's very much a crazy, fun map and not a serious custom piece. Battle Creek is terribly made in every way.

Any word on when a final release will be on its way? I'm trying to get it on Wireplay, but the beta status is a bit of a sticking point.

Not sure about final but planning to get beta 2 out very soon. If that works out you can easily call it final then

This looks f to the uckin' awesome. I'll pester my buddies to get it on our server (if it's not there already).

Oh and JeanPaul, I seem to remember trying to get people to stop being overly-critical of something you posted (the big tubes) a while back, so why are you being so pedantic about 0.0001% of the map? Did Valve invent trusses and applying textures to brushes, too? It's a totally pointless gripe.

Guys, leave old matters to rest please. Jean Paul's comments were in another thread, long gone by now, and have only been brought up to stir up some more troubles. This map is great, its release thread doesn't need to be spoiled by petty comments.

This map looks spotlight-good imo The graphical style is perfectly in line with the retail TF2 maps and it looks awesome. Cant comment on the gameplay cause steam doesnt want my orange box money (VISA card rejected for some reason) X( Me and my girlfriend are the last people in the world who havent played Portal!
