interesting, reminds a lot of first FC and BF island maps. You gonna make a proper game, will it be for some existing game?

No i dont think its gonna be something like that unfortunately :D .

 Haven't been working on the project for about 2 months, wasn't liking the shape of the island and how the things were going , but finally found some courage and time to scrap some of the old stuff and start from scratch. Here's my progress so far. Had to redo the entire island and also some of the foliage.

Looks dope. The vistas are insane. It definitely feels like Crysis.

Not sure if this is WIP but the small, ankle-height foliage looks kinda weird (too dense, not very beachy)

Thanks! . About the small foliage it's still not decided if it's gonna be that or just a bunch of grass but i've seen it on the reference

    • Maginot [Wingman]
      Hello everybody!
      I'm creating a map (based on the Maginot Line) for the Wingman's Contest - provided by Source Engine's Discord.

      I started the map 3 weeks ago and I'm on the detailing phase, slowly progreeding area by area, worried with the time left. I decided to follow this strategy: detail 75% of every area and after that (and gaining some time) I'd put some final touches + polishment + optimization.  

      I wonder, should I keep doing it in a hurry or is it better to make it with no rush and patience (losing the deadline)? There's still a lot to do and I'd like to hear your opinions...
