I found this map called Bridges 2.0 ( On Steam Workshop ), which seems to be an map from Warface project. Nexside seems to have gotten the map inside our beloved Source 2 world. And we can all enjoy it. Ngl, I personally already felt like that map belongs to some kind of stand alone FPS shooter with it's own story line and cinematics, haha! Did a bit deeper search about, and, I am impresed, how the map keeps the original look while having that Counter-Strike 2, vibe. Nostalgic map, eager to see where the road takes it!
According to the author, the goal was to preserve the original experience as closely as possible with a 1:1 recreation of the geometry while rebuilding the lighting and shadows using Source 2 technology.
After spending some time exploring the map, it's clear that a lot of effort went into preserving the original layout and atmosphere. The map feels surprisingly natural inside Counter-Strike 2, and it was interesting to see a classic Warface battleground recreated with modern visuals.
I recorded a Showcase video for anyone interested in seeing the map before downloading it.
One thing I appreciate about projects like this is the preservation aspect. There are many memorable multiplayer maps from older games that players rarely get the chance to revisit. Seeing Bridges recreated in CS2 gives both returning Warface players and newer Counter-Strike players an opportunity to experience the map in a completely different engine.
The Source 2 lighting helps modernize the environment while still maintaining the overall identity of the original design.
Hope you enjoyed the showcase video, eager to learn how to show you guys the maps, we have out there on workshop. Going to search more maps on workshop, to make the showcase videos, let me know how you liked this one, or if it is even worth to capture more and post it like this.

Amazing map re-route and the detail of it. Pier in the City of Lost Heaven, is what keeps pooping in my head. Best of luck in the project!

Ngl, love the idea you guys are creating here. And seeing six of you working on the map now. It will for sure have an impact on the Big Adventure mapping contest!
Showcase, I've made a video. To capture the map state at the time of building it. I hope it is useful in the future!
Best of luck with the project!

Helloooo, chooo, I mean, welcome, So, after spending some time thinking about what to do with the map after it did not pass Stage 1. I decided to redo it. From scratch. I made a backup file of the .vmap folder. And hopefully, I will be able to make a better version of the map. I watched the matches that were played on MapCore x FaceIT hubs and it gave me many ideas. But, to try and make it better, I see I should start over. Stay tuned for more changes. Once the map is somewhat close to a playable state and has the same vibe as the current state (21.08.2024 version) version has, I will update the .vmap file on Steam Workshop for de_Tildza! I am open to any kind of feedback. Tips and tricks on what should I focus on now when creating a map from the start. Currently, I am working on the layout, yet again!
Spoiler
.. also it would be better to have the best version possible of de_Tildza saved on FACEIT Mapcore 5v5 CS2 Hubs | Big Adventures Contest Archive

Thanks! Best of luck to everybody. I am glad to see some maps I felt that were going for stage 2 and being there. I have entered my first mapping contest with Tildza entry and your RadGen helped a lot. @JimWood +REP. I will work on the map and hopefully deliver a better version. Any kind of feedback would be amazing.

Big adventure mapping contest! Stage 1 is already behind us. It felt like it just started. But hey, life is like that. It starts a bit slow and then, you can not even manage to blink properly, and boom. Time has passed! Stage 2 is about to start, and I wish good luck to everyone moving from Stage 1 to Stage 2. Hope big adventures await those who play and test the maps! Amazing logo, love the cobra!

As the judging process is still ongoing, I wish to share some progress pictures of the map. Since you can not update the .vmap file, of de_Tildza, or to say, as you can not update the .vmap file of the project. They did not say anything about updating the thread post, haha. Enjoy!

The colors of the faces are amazing. The dark blue, black, light blue and the army blue (or is it grayish tone more) really catches the eye. How did you achieve it if may ask? Or it is a custom material? Best of luck with the project!

White nosed and deadly, haha! The buildings look quite nice! Simple to the eye, but yet, complex! I should say, add more close up photos here in the thread!
IMO, it would be funny to add an half filled jar with sand. Or two boxes of rum. Easter eggs and what not. Best of luck with the project!

Maybe the ship could be named Borealis throw an somewhat easter egg in it. Maybe Freeman with the aliens and crowbar will follow, haha!
The map looks visually amazing, hope you make the best out of it!
Best of luck in the judging process!

Love the design and layout visual look of the map. The water in the fountain gives ideas to me, thanks.
Hope the animal right activists get something out the idea, haha.
Best of luck, hope to see you in stage 2!
