Hey everyone Rayan here from Mapcore, I'm a disabled gamedev/gamer and a huge fan of spooky/Valve games stuff like that.
I love the mapcore community and the cs mapping community and all the valve community contents I have a question
it is hard to get into the ''CS scene''? I'll like to make some stuff for it and playing it the esport concept look really awesome and hyping.
I was much more a Team Fortress guy and didn't really care much about CS (I've played a few of CSGO but I plan to play more)
What's your honest answers and question?
Please let me knows in the thread.
(PS I love cs and valve games so much looking forward getting into cs!)
also dust my beloved.
and ty 3K for introducing me in the CS scene, without you I wouldn't knows CS and it's beautiful history.

Sigh

This thread was a mistake.

I miss a lot of Half-Life 2 total conversion such as Neotokyo, Zombie Panic! Source, Fortress Forever and so more.
Back when the Source SDK was realized you could do everything with it and make into a fun game! When Half-Life Alyx came out and bring up a another golden age of the valve community which I'm glad it's still strong. I was wondering if we're going to get more sourcemod mps in the future
Man the good old day

(Bonus: can't wait for sbox!)

24 minutes ago, FMPONE said: I think the little light scattering across the incredibly detailed geometry is what seems really promising from a photorealism standpoint. The fucking scary thing is, to be photorealistic, it still seems about half as detailed as it would need to be.
Photorealism feels *close* in 2022, like. We're almost there...
Looking at this shot for example, parts feel photoreal
and other parts feel like a phony mess
asset quality almost seems to differ in the shots, I find this whole rock set pretty unconvincing
It is possible that Source 2 have that kind of photo realistic in the near future?
Looking through UE5 contents is cool too : p
