It should've been an aim map or deathmatch map and not defusal map! Im feel terible for it, im really sorry!

I know aim maps are underrated maps but dont worry, i have plenty of maps i really wanted to make!

    (yes, plenty of em)

btw, heres my WIP overview for the map (PS its terible because i dont know advanced things about making level overview and also the map is really unfinish at all)

Something that has started to bug me recently. The lack of a reply to comment button was obviously intended to decrease the amount of people filling up topics and make them think before posting. However it is ineffective, and everytime someone posts on a topic the whole thing gets marked as unread and you have to scroll all the way down, hit last page, and then realise that it was a "thanks for your feedback" message written to someone else. The symbol reactions are decent and usually prevent people from posting "agreed" or "exactly" although sometimes I feel they don't represent the emotion I want to express (is this too deep?). If I were to suggest a rework of the comment system I would make brand new (standalone) comments create notifications and then allow for the user to comment on what someone says without quoting them and wasting space 99% of the time. If the comments were placed in an arrangement like reddits quoting would not be necessary as the indentations would indicate what was being replyed to. I do realize the fact that this is a forum and is not meant to have a high density of comments but I feel there is no good middle ground between reactions and quoting (to say thanks for example). Also what is up with being able to edit quotes? You can literally misquote people worse than Pope Urban II misquoted Jesus XD

without an overview it's hard to judge a counterstrike map at all. So it's good practice to make a basic radar early on.

I meant that you added too many props and textures at such an early stage when the layout is bound to change. The radar addition is good ?. Also adding too many details will make your compiles ever slower, and you want to test fast in the beginning.

Can't try it ATM but I can give you the advice to avoid over texturing and adding too many props before the layout is finished so you don't have to erase work when you make changes. Its a common mistake ?

Focus of the remake is reducing paths length, visual improvement and optimisation (which can't be done properly in current version). Also with a remake I will release "vanilla" update for original workshop that will return it to the original state with few improvements. And from now official name of the map de_Tanger (not Tangier). Have a nice day.

Although it's hard to do one of the most important things in mapping is being able to realise when an area doesn't feel right and reworking/scrapping it. Our brain inserts value into locations by the time we spent working on them, but in reality some of the most well planned areas will end up flopping and even more painfully be one upped by parts that had half the drawing, modeling, and thought. During my most recent graybox I redid a whole site that took me almost half an hour just to block out and time correctly. I can imagine how it must feel on a larger scale. However, you will feel great when you revise or replace the section and discover that it is far more functional and enjoyable to the players. TLDR: Don't be afraid to scrap as long as you know where you went wrong. You won't be dissapointed.

Okay after a brief run through of this map I found it to be very empty and it feels like there are infinite numbers of super long sightlines. The spawn areas are super aggressively clipped and misleading. The map was very hard to wrap my head around because everything felt same-y. I recommend using reference photos to create rough brushwork that can really define areas, or even possibly change the way they play if you so choose. The height variations were something good ?

Basically it seems that when I try to log in on a machine from where I'm not already logged, I get an error. This happened for example when attempting to log in from work, I got locked out because of "wrong pwd". I was pretty sure I must have got the one at least once but ok… I just came on my own PC and found it not logged in (???!) and despite the user/pwd being saved and auto-filled by the browser… login failed! Had to reset and put my good old password, and it worked.

It happened several times I must say.

Also another weird bug with the post editor textbox: it seems I can't paste-in text/urls on Mapcore if I close the source tab (or navigate to another address). Not sure if is just MS Edge (I'm using this recently), but I thought was the browser's problem, but after trying to reproduce for MS (I tweeted to them) it turns out is a problem I experience only trying to paste in the post textbox (subject of a new topic is fine for example).

I didn't have any password problems once I did 1 reset. Also you would do good to switch to Firefox Quantum or Chrome. Edge may have a pretty facade but it is actual dog shit (no pun intended) even with webgl 2.0 on the rise. After a few hundred hours on each, I stuck with Firefox as (providing you have a decent DNS and WiFi service) it tended to load pages faster as well as having a more clean and practical asthetic. They are all becoming the same these days but Microsoft kinda ditched edge for a new Chromium based browser they are working on.

This is so sick keep it up. Also i think getting a really good cobble stone texture for the ground would tie things up nicely

    Profit.

More like an NDA and a couple of bucks for each of us. Also the optimization would be bad. The terrain in the current map looks decently attractive but the devs could have like used the warehouse from assault, the dam from cs thunder, and so on. They are complete and individually optimized while being contained for the most part. Props for theme idea though

Looks great try to retain readability in shady areas like under the overpass and on site shown if worst comes to worst I can imagine some cool lights can be implemented.

Anyone remember the black ops 2 map where you could go through the derailed train to access other parts of the map? This reminds me of it somehow.
