    The "Maltese Falcon" very close guess by Pericolos0 should have been the biggest hint, plus, the bolding of the word Detective was more than enough - but I'll play.

    This film is famous for having one of the most intriguing and debated unsolved crimes in it, so much so, it is debated in colleges studying films and movies as a thought exercise. There are people who have made diagrams, spreadsheets and even made it their entire thesis to move through the topic.

    Famous movie. Based on a famous book. Written by a famous author. Directed by a famous director. Starring two of the most famous Hollywood actors and actresses, ever.

    I'll close by saying it would be an understatement to say it was genre defining, and even "Breaking Bad" writer-director Vince Gilligan used its cinematography in "Breaking Bad", and "Better Call Saul" albeit; in color.

    He makes me think of Gregory Peck, but the only movie I know him for doesn’t have that lady in it.

    So assuming you went for a classic I haven’t seen, I will just chance that you have a Casablanca screenshot there.

    One of the most famous films ever made, for sure.

    I had to take a shot of when the male character was not facing the camera, but had a slight angle on his face, or it really would've given it away. There are clues there, though.

    Gonna take another shot at either 'Spiderman homecoming' or 'The Adjustment Bureau'. Wild outside chance it could be 'Disclosure', but man that is waaay out there and I think was from the early-mid 90's.

    I humbly stand to be corrected by my fellows and peers, but (for some reason) I seem to believe that CS:GO was developed using a branch of the Source2 engine by the good people @ http://www.hiddenpath.com/

    Now, I can't recall whether this was the entire game, or simply the level editor that was then exported/parsed (Nuke, possibly) into the CS:GO SDK that we know on Steam.

    The reason for my belief might be due to a talk at a conference or, something I just heard through the grapevine, and, this may be completely inaccurate and simple anecdotal rhetoric.

    What you are saying, I understand - and most certainly sympathise with and overall am sorry I visited this post as late as I have. Santa Claus got in the way...but your point is valid, in my humble opinion. I am assuming you were "prepared" for the emotional pain of having your map ripped apart, yet this did not happen...kinda like attending a job interview, and missing the bus, or the cabbie gets lost and you miss your shot. Not fun.

    As mappers, that is part of the emotional compiling process. It just is. Work is not lost - but in instances such as this, I do believe and hope there should always be room for "Honourable Mentions" or, those who missed the deadlines, for whatever reason.

    We need rules, and the opportunity for clarification - I do feel this was always present for this contest, yet do wish I could capitulate in circumstances like this, but understand it perhaps creates an unfairness to those who submit post-deadline updates on the Steam Workshop. Sorry.
