yup, still working on it.
More details, some adjustments - basically everything is prettier now. Check it out if you want: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3298833586

I uploaded a new version with a slight rework of A, minor pathway adjustments, minor and major graphical changes, better overall Lighting, Performance Improvements, Clipping Adjustments.
Some areas are still very much Work In Progress and bound to change - others are pretty much final.

Well, i didn't quite make it in time (due to personal reasons and honestly no motivation for CS2 generally, which picked up recently again) - regardless i wanna share my progress of the version i tried to get out before the deadline. I will definitely finish this map at some point. It was fun non the less and i congratulate all other contestants for their amazing work - there are some really cool maps out there.
I made some screenshots inside hammer, since i didn't compile any new playable version yet.
Well i decided to start reworking A and CT to A, since it felt like a weak point so far.
v5 is out. Now with Minimap and more Details

I like the general idea of a blocky, maze type map - could be really cool and creates interesting geometry.
For feedback it really depends what you are going for. If it's just a casual map, there really isnt anything you could do wrong, as long as it's fun to play.
If you wanna make it more competitive viable you should create clear pathing, block off some areas to make them unaccessable. Real players would probably exploit the spawn situation, since both teams spawn right next to each other. The Ts can almost instantly plant without the CTs covering the site. I guess you took the default map and simply put some blocks here and there.
But if you really wanna create a map (regardless of Casual or Comp) you should atleast learn the basics. Here you also learn how to fix the clipping textures and the buggy lightning. You can check out this video, its a good start for beginners:
Well hello there,
i recently ported my map Sevirno to CS2. A classic 5v5 defusal map.
It was based of my very-very first mapping attempt from 2015 (de_Pier). Since i didnt map anything after that, i consider this my first proper map and i am quite happy how it turned out in the end. It went threw some major changes a long the way. If you wanna check out older versions of the map check out my Twitter/X - i posted some screenshots there.
I made many mistakes in the progress - some of them came back to bite me later (Optimization), but mapping is also learning. We tested the different layouts in our community and i got a lot of information what works, which ideas don't play out how i imagined and which areas needed simplification.
In the end i am just really grateful, that people are able to play my creation.

The map is located in Dalmatia. Since i only used the available assets, i was kinda limited to what i had. Yet i tried to stick to certain elements for specific areas of the map.

Quote from Bodd JonarWhere's the pier? :))
Bombsite B the wood textured part ![]()
Don't worry in the final version there will be a bigger pier and a beach, and a cliff. It's based on a real pier in England with shops and game halls.
Right now it's just the layout without anything else (many placeholders)
de_Pier
Current version: alpha 1 (first public release)
ThemeThe map is set in a small city on the Southcoast of England.
Layout[/b]The layout is pretty simple, but still complex. The map is optimized for a 5 vs 5 match. It's meant to be a medium to small "fast action" map. There are 3 main themes: the pier (B), the mall (MID), the park (A) - so you should always know where you are just by looking around.

I appreciate any feedback, but right now i would prefer thoughts on the layout and the gameplay, because currently the map is a mess since this is my first attempt to map
