Amazing job so far, really looking forward to it. The playtest can't come soon enough.

Saw the showmatch, it was very fastpaced and both teams had a chance to win it. Overall, it makes for a good map to watch.

This looks even better than the earlier versions. Really excited for the beta test, can people still sign up?

Only if you have to include at least 3 maps. I agree that Train and Nuke look pretty similar at times, though.

Then it will be Dust 2 --> Mirage --> Dust 2 --> Mirage --> Dust 2 --> Mirage --> Inferno (which will be changed to Dust 2 after the first round on it), etc.

If anything, after a map got selected there should be at least a 2 map wait before it can be selected again, maybe even 3. Then it would be D2 --> Mirage --> Inferno (--> Cache) --> D2 at least (I have long given up on ever seeing Train or Overpass in Casual). Additionally, Valve should priorize filling empty servers that aren't Dust 2 with people and it would work out. And if the Dust 2 crowd wants to play Dust 2 only 24/7, they can use the server browser and get one of the hundred servers that exist solely for this purpose. Wouldn't be too bad if more people discover that this browser exists anyway.

Thankfully, we now have at least a dev team mail adress where we can send these concerns to.

As much as I love the coop, MM has taken a turn for the worse though. The last 6 games I played featured at least one account with suspicious movement or aim and most of those were pretty new, yet already had all achievements and played at DMG with a level 3 account and 15 hours into the game... It's really not fun to know you lost 90% of your games in the past few days because "Mr VAC" (that was seriously his name) follows your every move through 3 walls for over 30 seconds before killing you with "accidental prefire" :/

PS: Tried another game, this time it was me, a friend, one leaver and 2 griefers. The griefer "AIMBOT" started to toggle in the last 10 rounds (3-4k 100% HS ratio every round) but then proceeded to let himself get killed... I will stay away from MM for the next few days....

I just finished the first Coop Strike mission with a friend and I must congratulate Valve: I never knew I wanted a singleplayer or coop campaign in CS this much until now. This has huge potential and I would gladly pay 5-10€ for a DLC that enables a coop mode with a few maps for me and my friends to play. CS gameplay mechanics are great and seeing them utilized in such a scenario made me feel overjoyed. This, along with Crashsite and the Weapon Course could even serve as some sort of normal ingame campaign in the base game if Valve so desired.

I also think like this map in particular can be turned into a map that can be regulary accessed in parts in various other modes.

The idea with the radar is great and I must say that I I am impressed with the maps election with regards to the Mapcore mapping contest (Poor Bourg, though). I went over every map when they were released and I thought Mikla was a bit problematic with its layout at times, honestly the biggest surprise for me in this selection.

As for the campaigns, I like that they try to give CS a story you canj play through with friends. It will be fun to coop my way through it, but it also begs the question: Why doesn't use Valve these special maps and combine them with the weapon course to give newer players and veterans a campaign outside of operations - to either learn the game or chase highscores. I think it's worth a thought.

Cool, I was just recently discovering an old version of it in my workshop files and wondered what happened to it. Glad to see it's still getting worked on.

I wonder what the ranks of the developers are. Also I really think the R8 could use a buff atm. It's nerfed to hard in my opinion, I think the delay could be a bit decreased to it's old value or something in between.

I would love to get some insight into that as well. Iirc, Spunj (a CSGO pro currently signed for Renegades) mentioned that there is a Skype/FB/whatever group where devs and pros discuss changes to the game when the Revolver was introduced. Apparently Valve devs genuinely thought about implementing a net thrower or something similar to CS, so people could literally stun other players for seconds. I don't even want to imagine the outrage if they actually put that into the game in the future....

Also: I think the Revolver's place in the loadout should be given more thoughts as well. is it really wise to replace it with the Deagle? Maybe it is time to add a new loadout slot for pistols?

I think ultimately Valve needs to reconsider their public policies a bit. We don't need infos about release dates for every game they develop or this crazy PR bs that most modern publishers pull, but stuff like fixing the places where bombs get stuck (which literally every reddit user can find and share within half an hour) , obvious issues with understanding the public perception of some of their changes, etc. make it apparent that they need to talk to their community.

Imho a good move would be the establishment of community managers that are either directly from Valve or just popular figures within their respective games that have some technical insight or dev. experience as well (thinking 3kliksphilips for CSGO, for example).

It's a gun implemented by people who don't understand the game they make.

I really wonder why there is no beta client for CSGO. These changes need to be tested and pros and casuals alike should give some feedback before stuff like this is unleashed on everybody.

    Community servers are fine, but

    a) they need more support from Valve imho and

    b) official MM with Santorini is something I crave :P

Still waiting for the big update to arrive.

I was wondering why we don't get a "Best of operations/workshop" map rotation in-between operation (or in general) anyway.
