Ok, thanks for playing again guys. 'RZL, could you please upload the stuff again? And you can remove the v14 if you need / want space. I've downloaded them.

The .bsp (packed with everything) for tomorrow's playtest of DE_Solitude_18 can be downloaded here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwjz6M…iew?usp=sharing

You can also check for images and update stuff. Thanks!

    Update for coming playtest!

A lot of changes have been made as well as some general improvements (I like to think), much feedback has been implemented thanks to you guys. In the images you can see a Radar v14 to v18 which might hint at what has been changed to the overall layout.

Hey, could I get a slot on the 28th for another round of De_Solitude? There've been a lot of big changes that need testing with actual people . File will pop up later.

RZL, I was wondering if the feedback stuff for my map (edit: de_solitude, playtested on 31st of March) was going to be uploaded, because I can't find them in the feedback Google Drive folder and I assumed that would happen. Did I assume wrong / did I forget to do something / something something-- I'd really like the feedback files if they're still available

I had a really hard time finding errors within your map. Only errors I found were with clipping. The layout is really solid and so is the brushwork. Keep it up!

Wow, thanks! That means a lot ! And yes, I am aware of some clipping issues, as well as 'lack of' issues-- it's possible to boost on some of the roofs too. But thanks for this particular one, (the first one)- I thought I fixed it. The reason it's there is because it's a bit overpowered if you could look down on the sewer entrance like that, but I guess I'll have to find a more logical solution to this problem than an invisible wall ^^

"But not like cobblestone". Cobble isn't a bad map. It isn't good either .

I didn't mean the gameplay aspects of Cobblestone, but more the thematic elements-- my map isn't going to feature a Castle, but it will have that same medieval-ish feel.

I'd love to download this map and run around it for a bit, the screenshots have left me wanting more!

I believe this download link should work: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwjz6M…iew?usp=sharing. Thanks for your interest, and good to hear!

    Hi everyone!

Tonight (31st of March) I will playtest de_Solitude on MapCore's fine playtesting service. Please gather 'round and provide feedback as I am eager to improve the map and my skills. No need to be shy!

    Theme:

De_Solitude will be a map with a theme inspired by Canterbury, England, with the medieval-ish parts exaggerated a bit. But not like Cobblestone. It's also not going to be a map literally set in Canterbury but certain elements will be taken and used in de_Solitude-- for example the half-timbered houses. Just look at the images and hopefully they will clear things up !

    ----OLD----

    Current Version: 14 Playtest: 31/03/15

We'll be playtesting version 14. I up each time I do a somewhat large playtest with bots / friends, but I started with only 1 small part and expanded upon that. So feel free to look at this as version 1, as this is the first version to feature a packed radar and .nav etc!

Hey, it'd be great if I could reserve a spot for 31.03.15 as well. The BSP file will arrive later so that I can continue working on it until then! The WIP title is DE_Solitude.

    Thanks!

Hey all! My name is Ingmar uit de Bos, nearly 22 years old and a game and level designer from the Netherlands. I've worked on Age of Wonders 3 as a design intern, and then on Interloper as game designer. These are both strategy games, and so I decided I wanted to broaden my experience. Which is one of the reasons why I'm working on a CS GO level, which I hope to playtest soon (thread will come up shortly). Usually I'm more a lurker type but I decided it's quite beneficial to actively take part in this community, and you all seem really nice! I already learned a lot from Shawn and Sal at last GDC and hope to learn a lot from MapCore! Edit: Here's the thread on the CS GO level:
