Reading all this made me wonder what refresh rate my monitor has. It's not on the box though and I can't find it on the internet (I have a Iiyama XB2779QS monitor).
Is there a relation between refresh rate (Hz) and reaction time (ms)?

isn't the refresh rate the number of frame it displays and the reaction time, the time it takes for the monitor to display the frame it is supposed to display? Meaning that you could have a huge refresh rate but a lame reaction time, and you'd have a clean animation, but with some delay?

    Don't know if I'm clear?

    Hey, it looks beautiful!

My only concern is that there may not be enough plants for an oasis :)

Hey if it doesn't work, try compiling your vmf from another computer, maybe the compilation is where the issue happens and nothing is wrong with your vmf

I broke up with my girlfriend again She said it's a shame for her to go out with me. I didn't know she minded my height, but I know she will cause i'm only 5' 3" tall

I'm soooo sad cause this is second time I broke up with girlfriend due to short height

I think short height not only effects your shortage of physical ability, it also affects your first impression and relationship since I'm constantly referred to as the kid and I feel that I am never really taken seriously. but short height has nothing to do with my own fault. I exercised hard and I'm not particular about what I eat

I can't even wear any good clothes since there's nothing to fit my size :((

Wear custom cut suits and know that if someone isn't taking you seriously because of your height, then he is an idiot :)

I made a playtest request, I hope my map gets finally chosen

it is more of a first come, first served. It seems that you have a bit of trouble to have the map into all criterions for playtest. If you want some help, do ask for help, I've had some troubles at first too! :)

That it is a middle or not does not matter, what matters is that it has a value for both teams, so it must be defended :)

I will no-draw after im done adjusting the timing and making all the corridors interesting and I wouldn't really call where middle-ish is a middle (well its not a generic middle) mainly because it was designed to be a connecting kind of place and only really has value for the T's at the start. I totally agree with the choke points and at the moment I'm trying to adjust how fast the teams get to the bombsite mainly through obstacles Thanks for the feedback and next update I will make sure to use cl_leveloverview to take the picture.

I don't see too much how CT's can hold off middle though, which is important, since the middle area should be defended if it has a value for T.

First of, for overviews I'd recommend you to no-draw what the player cannot see,and also use the cl_leveloverview command followed by a number for the scale, it is a lot cleaner like that. Haven't got time yet to play around your level, but it seems that chokepoints are a bit before T's arrive at bombsites? If so, work on them to make them the most interesting as possible, it is a bit plain right now.

Also, why isn't there any "middle"?

    Thanks for the feedback!

I might change the soundscape for the CT spawn+B bombsite area if it is too noisy as they're using the same soundscape, I thought adding this outside will give the player the feeling of him being in a large city with a lot of noise, cars and other things, maybe I'll just make it quieter.

I meant noisy as in visually noisy, there are a lot of details everywhere and the basic shape of the level isn't very clear visually. i had trouble knowing where to look :)

the sound is fine inmy opinion!

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't very clear

I find the environment very noisy, it makes it a bit hard to find angles where you could be shot from.

Overall, there is some work which has been done, no denying that. You could try and rework lighting ou rework details to make more clear the basic shape of your level. Hope this helps!

from our playtesting the map is actually quite balanced, i guess its hard to say if a map is balanced from a couple of screenshots. the employee lounge is just a placeholder sign, because i was not sure of the setting but wanted to have a sign there. i dont really know about other places but in germany and switzerland its quite common to have pieces of art

like sculptures and ponds in areas to relax.

I'm sorry for any typos since english is my 3rd language, and thank you for your feedback.

what's odd with your lounge area is that there isn't any sort of roof to shelter from the rain for example, meaning that this lounge is only usable when it isn't raining, which is odd.

what indicated you it was balanced during the playtest ?

(I am not saying it is not, just want to know how you felt it was played)

I understand and agree with what you say @jackophant, of course gameplay is very different, main modes there are TDM so you're not much concerned… what I mean when referring to COD is that on average windows or accessible upper levels are in the 128/256 units above ground, from what I've seen in video (I don't play multiplayer COD since Modern Warfare).

Also in not asking to have cliffs and platforming, in just saying that there's so much talk about not creating too much height change that even a terrace 256 from the ground like old Inferno's T sniper perch seems a no-no.

The fact that to play best you have to be an aim-bot, maybe even lowering the v-sensibility to keep you aim more steady is fundamentally wrong from my point of view. And the fact that this sort of push comes from the competitive players winds me up incredibly, because a true sport player embraces new challenges… think that if the NBA was to raise the height of the basket players would say "ok I'll go play in Europe"? CS pro players have amazing skills but I get the impression they have to much say in what's affecting them and frankly makes me consider them pussies.

To embrace the nba comparison, 3 points line in Europe is way closer to the basket than it is in nba, but lots of players from all over the world come there and adapt to this new rule, because with their talent, they can. The real issue is that many are censuring maps, because pro don't like them.. which leads to them deciding how it is supposed to play.

Fortunately, people here do not seem to give a damn about them and see if they like or not the map they are testing, so there is still a chance it can work :)

Also I learned that with my flawed attempt at verticality that if you want some, you can, but only when it is useful, and you have to make defined paths, so that the eye see clearly where they can be, and what I think is working, is limiting angles. Meaning that if you can have an angle at the upper level, then the only angles the lower level guy has to have are either on the same level, or like in Zoo, they should be on top of the other, so that you can see both clearly. This allows verticality, with a gameplay similar to a flat level since you still have very angles to check :)

usually this leads to middle range engagement, so that you don't have to move up your head to much, and still seeing what's below :)

What others said, and maybe try to look at European malls. In my french city, each malls don't have much areas where there is two level simultaneously, and mainly these areas are connector between two shopping paths on a different level, and it the only place they see each other. I'll search some examples and I'll edit this post with links!

I would organize a playtest, but I will be gone all week so I won't be able to do it anytime soon. When I get back I will definitely get one going.

You don't have to be there, and there are empty slots all week, so you can playtest it this week gather feedback then playtest it again later when you get back :)

Why the hell would anyone not want a password? I lock my computer everytime I leave it, even at home! (I type Win+L in my sleep, lol)

For a desk computer it could make sense if you want it to boot a tiny bit faster, since you just have to press a button and do whatever you want until it is ready to use. I do agree with you though on the fact that a password is necessary.
