Are you serious? It has nothing to do with piracy.

It's all about avoiding taxes, California is extremly expensive for the movies industry right now. Every single company is fleeing to Canada. Until Canada starts taxing entertainment as well and they'll be fleeing to China. (Which is happening as we speak already)

Better start learning chinese man ;D

Well, it depends on your budget and on what kind of 3d work exactly - maya/max or also Ue4/CE?

Apart from that, the machines are generally good, but lack a good GPU, the gt845M is kind of weak.

    Germany:

    Franz Kafka's works

Goethe's Faust (very old, but significant)

    Friedrich Dürrenmatt's The Visit

just some that came to my mind :)

You certainly need some kind of GI/AO to get some directionality in your image. Without it the brain has a really hard time understanding the space and the relations of the objects in it.

Ah alright - so this sounds like a recommendation
Also the screen is really neat, an IPS Panel which has quite cool color values.

Regarding the sound, there's a thread on the official ASUS forums about it. Apparentally there's a driver issue with it, causing really bad sound, but there might be coming a driver update in a few weeks.

    Heya JDog

    This thread might help you

Also I generally recommend this site:

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/

Here it has a TOP 10 Of gaming notbooks:

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Purchase-Consultation.13212.0.html

Apart from that, you probably want at least 8GB RAM, better would be 16 GB.

Also a fast intel quadcore (i5 or i7)

These requirements are ususally easily fulfilled by many laptops.

Where it gets more expensive is with the laptops that have a good GPU.

It should at least have a GTX 860M (Nvidia)

With these specs, you'll be above UE4's minimum requirements and be able to work decently. A better GPU is obviously nice.

Other things to watch out for with gaming laptops is the display quality (colors, brightness, reflections, panel), the battery life (usually very low with gaming machines), the temperature, component exchangability (battery, GPU, etc) and noise level. Also Display size is important (17,3" or 15.4")

It all depends on how much you are willing to spend. But you'll always have to make some kind of compromise with notebooks. Some are fast, but hot, others are cool, but loud and some are fast, cool and silent, but have a shitty display.

So I recommend reading tests in any case.

Regarding price, I'd expect that you'll end up paying something between 1k and 2k euros.

    EDIT:
    Concrete recommendations:

    http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-Ed…=acer+aspire+17
1200 Euros (be sure to not get the -759Q version, but newer versions like the 791G tho, I heard the -759 Q has problems with Wifi or sth)

    o alright perfomance (GTX 860M, 16GB RAM, i7 Quadcore)

    +light weight

    +cool

    +silent

    -component exchangability not good

    http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GT70-DOMIN…ywords=MSI+GT70

    1600 Euros

    +very nice perfomance (GTX970M, 8GB RAM, i7 Quadcore)

    +component exchangability good

    -loud

-only 8GB RAM (there might be a version with 16GB tho, havent looked)

Guess you need to balance between temperature, thickness and noise amount.

So a fat hot one might work for you.

I've tried to stay away from too much media so that I can enjoy the full shot when I play the game.

    Hard to stay disciplined tho

  • The Witcher 3

    • December 16, 2014 at 4:57 AM

    Same, here must-buy for me

And I've never got why ppl are upset if a game gets delayed. Or why the studio has to apologise 0o?
I'm very happy they have more time. It surely means more time to polish and (hopefully) less crunch. Everyone benefits from this, it's great news!
Only for investors its not so cool in the short term. Anyone else should be cheering

That aside, it looks really, really nice. Tho I can't get arround it looked a bit better at the initial E3 trailer. Could just be the initial impact and my memory tho (and the fact that this practice seems to be more common lately). Regardless, CDProjekt is just the good guy of the industry apparentally.. hah, no drm, free dlc

    wow

It's just that many gamers justify their pirating with them not liking the platform it was released on.
