Thanks, you brought up some things that generally i didn't think about or just left them be. I'll make use of your points.

It isn't as white as i was afraid of. I've played season a lot on CS Source, had it on cycle on my server also back in the days so if i look this vs that, it has the old layout but a fresh feeling. Does everything better and seems to be a lot better also than the previous CSGO version (sorry ted).

I hope i get to play this in some operation in the future.

Based on the feedback i got from the playtest and elsewhere, i did an update to the map. It can be viewed in the workshop here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi…s/?id=318190743

For example i remade the T-base that was still waiting for a vision, which i got and now it's finished. Also as it's now in fashion, i added a boiler.

Well, looks like posting about the workshop tool paid off (to csgo_sdk mailing list). They re-added the links to SDK menu.

    Hi.

We re-shipped the Workshop Map Publish tool available from the CSGO SDK for now, since we are still working out some kinks with the new workshop_publish.

    Sorry for the confusion.

They removed the Workshop uploader tool from the SDK. Anyone knows how to upload now?

There is console command workshop_publish now that seems to open some sort of menu but it doesn't list existing items. I'm afraid if i use it, i may lose the work on workshop or unable to controll stuff uploaded with it.

"There were clear favorites with Insertion leading the pack in daily Competitive playtime, taking in over 21% of Competitive Operation map playtime (with Overgrown and BlackGold in second and third)."

Insertion favorite? Great concept in a map not adapted to counter-strike IMO. The only reason I played Insertion (and I'm sure why most people played it) 33% of my mission drops were "Win 16 rounds on competitive Insertion".

I hope Valve's intentions are not to bring Insertion back, but I would gladly see the same concept in a more close combat scenario..

What was the previous gap between end of operation and start of a new one by the way?

I kind of have to agree with Insertion, it's a great map, with a great idea but simply does not work in multiplayer at CS. I have to wonder why it was the most popular map anyway, because i had to queue that map AGES for each operation drop i had for it. The others i got in way faster.

    **EDIT**

You can always say you worked for the maps in CZ but i wouldn't say that applies to the current maps. Several people have propably touched these over the years including you. I don't think there is any log of which people have worked on map X or Y.

As an example, when the maps, nuke, train, office, tides, inferno, assault and militia came to CS:S, they were remade by TurtleRock Studios. HPE (HiddenPath Entertainment)/Valve then used those maps as a base for CSGO, excluding tides of course. Dust2, Dust, Aztec, Assault and others were again remade to support visual style and playstyle of CSGO (more competitive).

Still, legacy remains even though maps like Inferno layout-wise and visually looks pretty much the same as CS:S version. So does nuke & office too with minor changes and additions but the structure is the same. Maybe that's why you recognize something from older time, the remake is a remake, not a 100% new release.

I actually did an update on 25th and removed the crane + fixed some iminent bugs that hindered gameplay. I'll try to think of something else that i should do.

If only good ideas would grow in my backyard so i could harvest them anytime i need them. The theme is actually older than any of the "warehouse" maps in go. But it just felt natural for this but suggestions are welcome..

I have been working on this map for quite some time and now it's time to give it to the public to test for. So head over to Steam workshop to have a look at the images, overview and download. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/fi…s/?id=318190743

Feeback and suggestions are most welcome! After all, it's just a beta release for now. Thanks.

Rush, Mist and Black Gold have pretty deep FPS drops.. bit disappointed of the maps in this operation. Only one I like is Overgrown, but even that could use bit more work (T-side seems to acquire map control almost automatically).

I noticed the same thing even before Rush and Mist went into the mission. They look nice, but the framerate drops rapidly here and there and the layout is very complex on the mist - so many spots to camp for and shoot from. Insertion has same problem with framerate and castle too. Running those maps for example on 4870 card is barely playable but 7970 it's much less noticeable.

Only map that i didn't see any issues was overgrown. It had the flow and easy way to move in and out while the other maps had just too many ways go for. Overgrowns flow reminded me more about cache, which was nice.

Nevertheless, Valve has rolled the dice and congrats to all who got their maps in!

It isn't easter but eyes are good. Spotted F.M.P.O on 5th shot immediately.

Looks nice, though the floor on the 3rd shot looks kind of out of place. I think you were after some sort of glass floor where grass is underneath but this caught my eye. The wood in 4th shot corridor also looks kind of out of place to me.

Loved season on CSS, didn't love the CSGO version but it's hard to say more without seeing the whole map myself. Keep it up.
