Yeah you're right. Damn I'm feeling like I've been totally missing on this genre.

Oh men started a thread on this and used the search. Didn't turned out anything (totally delete the one I wrongly started if any admin sees this).
BUT I quite enjoyed it. Haven't played any of the tell tale games (I'm probably missing out), but this definitely grabbed my attention. It's just nice you know to play a "chill-ish" game.
Heyyy buddies !
Played this the other day. Blazed through it. I thought the whole thing was pretty interesting ! Anybody else played this ? It's made by the peeps who did Remember Me. It's very Tell Tale-eskque as people say.
I think JP le Breton is just super nervous/excited to probably meet his "idol". But yeah... still a bit annoying but if you concentrate on John it's not that bad I guess ?
Quote from Thurniphei, i think this is a good place to post this.
Double fine produced a series of "playing with devs"
and there's plenty of good comments by Romero for Doom
(the hard part is to ignore the "yep yep... yeeep, yepp yeah yeah from double fine's JP Breton. Ahhh shit just made a post about this.
Alright so I was pretty hooked on their series "Amnesia Fortnight" where you see devs doing a 2 week long small project and I happen to find this on their Youtube channel yesterday. It's John Romero playing Doom with a former Bioshock and Bioshock 2 level designer (lead level designer at some point). There's 10 videos and they-are-pretty-fucking-awesome. This is a part of their series "Devs Play" which I'm going to follow fo-sure.
Check deez out, (it's pretty Mapcore worthy):
Quote from SteppenwolfI hate this game. Because i want to look at it and study it in peace but it's so scary
Question out there related to that. Does anybody knows if there's a way to enable development console commands/hacks stuff ? I think I know the answer but... ya know... So we can cruise around peacefully and look at the environments...
Fuckk yesss ! This is beauty.
Quote from kanine01I'm working on a Walther Model SLD Flare Pistol. It's hovering around 4.6k tris at the moment. [Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/RLxyMLJ.png][Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/k3GSRwT.jpg][Blocked Image: http://i.imgur.com/UA08Q7P.jpg] Any suggestions on how I can push the material some more??
I would probably try to make the spec/roughness a little bit more varied. You did try to do this with the very light scratches... but I'd go a little further and apply some kind of dirt map that would make some areas shinier and rougher.
Joyeuse la noëlle du fond du bois (french canadian christmas). Mangez ben de la tourtière pis embrassez votre grand-mère.
Alright enough kidding. Merry Christmas to everybody on the core. Been exactly one year on Mapcore for me !!! I think I'll stick around for another. Thanks to everyone for such an awesome community.
Much Love,

Heyyyy !!
Some friends showed me this the other day and… I was pretty split in half laughing the whole time. So I thought I'd share that in here. Men… If only the movies had been like that. There's 3 episodes out, my favourite by far has to be the second episode "the friend zone". The introduction of Creepio is pretty much fucking priceless though (episode 1: Jedi Party).
Hope it can make you crack some laughs.
Alright alright…. I have but one link to share to resume what I'm thinking about the whole thingy:
HEYY !
Here's some stuff to occupy yer mind. Been reading a lot of stuff related to Bioshock for one of my projects and found this interesting piece of read. I knew they modified UE3 but... at this point. Makes me appreciate the work of graphics programmer:

Another thing that I'm about to read is something one of my programmer friend sent me... If you fancy tech stuff :

Been watching some of those while working at home:
ID software history
Blizzard Retrospective
Enjoy men
Hope that can distract you a bit.

For visuals, I think it's safe to say that they will have PBR... Some kind of "new" GI tech and... other "next geny" stuff. What's interesting me though is... did they try to implement some kind of system to facilitate gameplay iteration like Snowdrop where everything is node based. We'll probably have a GDC or a Montreal IGDA talk about that in the med-near future. I'll keep my eyes open for links/info and stuff.
Have you used any Glacier engine/editor?
Nope not at all. I was super guessing the whole way. But you did, working at IO. What's the scripting like (visual or something like LUA) ?
Hey Jason, might not be the best place to post that. Have a look at the "Work Release" section.
Cheers.
Quote from SenturaIt's interesting, I'd like to see how it would differ from Glacier
