It’s deffo a trend, I guess a response to bloated, open world AAA games. Or maybe, better said, a complement… you might want the quick session when you can’t sit down for 2+ hours.

Anyway if one indie can gather attention the niche is probably ready to gobble another well-put-together small-scope shooter. Problem is getting that attention!

must say it doesn’t look impressive as JC4 and Rage, movement and quality of models seems a bit generic. I would speculate this was a bit of labour of love and studio let this develop, but there weren’t many resources(?).

Just curious, if you can say, what size is the team now?

Also, do you have the youngest staff working on the remakes? I would imagine is great way to train people in the tools redoing something that is well established and needs improvement.

I only managed to play one competitive match on this until now.

Must day that despite playing several DMs I was quite struggling to understand the layout and angles, until the last few rounds. The assholes teammates even kicked me toward the end, when was clear we had already lost and was trying to clutch but got a bit stuck on the railings.

im sure playing more layout would come natural, and if I took the time to explore like I’ve done with many other maps, I would be fine. The many enclosed areas make it feel quite a different layout from traditional maps.

Cool @DMU222, but I think we were just commenting on the over-dramatic tone rather than any theory.

Which I think seems out of place, the video is made by Sony that has nothing to do with the project.

On the other hand the actor could be involved, think how Remedy has recycled actors.

Also actors don’t always talk with their natural voice, they have to add emphasis on certain aspects depending on roles
