also this game was almost the demise of my own first PC, as I was too enthralled playing, and kept playing during a storm... at some point a lightning struck and the computer seemingly died. Luckily the day after it turned on again, but I spent several hours of panic.

I’m in the same situation, was waiting for prices to go down cos I literally only want to play some exclusives (half of which are the remasters from PS3). Now they seem to pile up more.

Maybe prices in America are better, £100 here is only a starting bid, best I can find used as “buy now” was some £180… which is spend as of now but I’m in this very awkward situation where spending for game stuff seems silly when you wait for a baby.

Hey @General Vivi after listening to the Quakecast I thought to ask... have you considered doing a sort of contest for your dear friends here in Mapcore? I know it's so early, but thought you could maybe drop us a version stripped of all content, except a couple test maps to understand the entities and what not, and then let the community go crazy.

Official documentary is coming

It looks like Sony has secured the rights for the videogame version of XIII, the Belgian comics series. This was already made into an (amazing!) game by Ubisoft, back in 2003. I was never expecting a remake/reboot really, but I personally welcome the news. My problem is that it seems it’s gonna be an exclusive to the PS.

The teaser suggests it will return to a very stylised presentation. (Sure hope so, that’s what made so special the Ubisoft game.)

thw way they describe the soft-survival mechanic makes me think of Mad Max, but hopefully they do it slightly more seriously (was way too easy in Mad Max after very little into the game)

Thanks, yeah I’m lucky my boss just had one as well and I’m seeing the toll it’s taking… I need to start being regular in my sleep.

my gf thought would be nice to give an Italian name so we have run a few ideas, but we are not final. Although I have my top pick already since Jan and I was a bit sneaky calling the baby the name I like so seems it’s sticking. But we were just talking of proper writing down the list and see to decide.

Hey guys, I thought that with just less two months to go, it was time to share… I’m going to be a dad ? This wasn’t planned and I’m getting used to the idea only recently; it’s been actually quite a struggle these months* because we found out at a time I was convinced we were going to split up. As my partner’s ex boss offered us a place for cheap (considering) we also just moved out of an apartment into a proper house. As they haven’t done up the place when they bought it, I’m in the process of doing some decoration myself (so that’s another bit of tension from time to time, not always easy to find the energy to do stuff after a day of work).

*hence -I guess- my increased spamming here, just putting my head under the sand *ahem*

Looks interesting actually, I got interested and followed it, but I’m not going to get it, just have so much back catalog and online I play only CS.

I have that video in the watch later list, I’m curious.

My thoughts from the one competitive match I managed to play, is that Vertigo is great as Wingman map, but sucks for standard 5v5. The bottlenecks remind me of Aztec. It just seems a big brawling map. I got more kills spamming a completely smoked off A-site than anything lol.

Any idea why this happens? Restarted the computer, the router, tried logging in the second Steam account I hold... speedtest shows the promised data from my ISP (NowTV fibre). Thought were the drivers at first, as when I first exited the game I noticed they had been downloaded and ready to update, but even after installing them, same result.

In other news, Astralis lost the recent Miami Blast, with a spank from noneother than MIBR, they played a completely different CS being super aggressive with a bit of gambling in their stacks

This was also impressive, that bomb-drop-block so unreal

Yeah the released info says there’s no Batman in it. I think the idea is kinda Gotham’s, where Joaquin is the “first” Joker, Bruce Wayne is a child or maybe not even born, and then other Jokers come along afterwards.

This “origin story” is pretty much the one portrayed in The Killing Joke novel.
