I know the movie is coming out, I’m just very surprised they are cross promoting on different IPs, normally you tie-in only with one thing.

Ill take this as a testament of how much garbage the movie must be, if they have to market so hard. (Trailer looked terrible)

@Interfearance rocks in this instance look like default models really. Otherwise you need to learn to master displacement, look up @TopHATTwaffle tutorials on YT

I recognise it looks a very straightforward and dumbed down game, but after all it probably targets youngsters?

As a non-fan of the serie I don’t think I’d see myself playing something much more complex than this.

i like a lot the camera transitions, how they use the bot to guide your attention etc.

some animations look unpolished, in particular when they do a double jump, but I would expect them to polish before release.

like I said on the main CS topic deffo wouldn’t work with the current competitive expectation, it wouldn’t be as readable, but it’s sure exciting as hell. I’d like to play that very much. It might be possible to modify/update models to make them stand out so not to slow the gameplay to a cover-shooter style.

This is very interesting to reflect how hard it is/will be for Valve to push the game forward, they will need to update the graphics to try gain new players.

@Mitch Mitchell I don’t see the point of going over what/how Microsoft failed on the Xbox One front. They are doing a new machine and still committed. I just want to say that the always-on mike was necessary for the multimedia side of things, also smartphones are listening all the time with their assistants, so I don’t see any problem with… except MS being ahead of the game and pushing features not yet widely accepted. I would also speculate that the always-online requirement was to please publishers like Ubi and EA that have such restrictions in their games to maybe get some exclusives. If anything, what really infuriated people was the battle against used games – again another feature requested by big publishers!

The problem with MS is they have always had a culture of giving too many options and please everyone, which ends up annoying everyone.

Anyway I haven’t been up with the E3 stuff since I’m looking after my newborn, but the little I’ve seen (trailers for Gears 5 and Halo) are garbage and not enticing at all. And we are talking of two of the three most important killer apps. I’m curious to see what the new machine is offering but with the state of their first parties, they are gonna struggle keep their core audience!

@MikeGon Well for Nintendo there was rumor they were going to release a cheap version of the Switch, like other products before. Sony is not going to E3 at all…

Square Enix is taking the Sony presentation slot and will (should) unveil the Avengers game. Hype for that brand couldn’t be higher now.

I know readability would suffer, but this looks so cool, I wouldn’t mind playing on this BF-looking playground.

Also funny that I’ve only found out about the contest because of this topic (following people that posted).

Been on the website regularly despite the IRL stuff, but didn’t spot the banner for the contest down at the bottom.

i find it confusing that was posted on the 15th but also Mapcoreans on Twitter are retweeting about it just yday/today.
