Would you actually? ?

1917 was an incredible visual tour de force. my favourite scene the chase lit by flares. The music that goes with it was superb.
I don’t think the trailer makes justice to the one-shot trickery
I imagine we can all easily see where the camera actually cuts, but in the behind the scenes they show some more advanced shots and it’s impressive how they strived to do long shots even where they could have faked it (for eg they regularly put the camera on cranes from hand filming, and vice versa)External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Is in my watchlist. So angry with this game, I was playing it and enjoying enough (although I think was grossly over inflated when it came out) when it stopped working, just hard crashing to desktop. Think was after a big windows update. Tried to reach for support and never got anything back, so never installed it again to not waste time to just get angry again.
Anyone knows if it’s currently functional?

Oh great reminder. I scrolled through their videos and I think I have in my too long “watch later” the COD video. Need to give a look, seems a serious channel to follow!

Every big company works in different ways of course, but more often than not when "PR disasters" like this happen, it's usually the fuck up of one or two people. The game directors and the people making the game very rarely have any input on trailers or teasers, because they're too busy actually making the game.
So what usually happens is, you have a very small team of people in charge of synchronizing with a third party vendor, actually making these trailers. These people, they don't really care about the same things we do, or that gamers do, they don't do "artistic choices", they do market research and analysis, they're aware of current trends that work and jump on those bandwagons. Their job is to market a product at all costs.
Biggest irony ever, is that when you go against the grain and make something different, it almost always works! Which is what they thought they were doing in this spot, but they ended up looking out of touch.
Remember this? This is what I'm talking about.

That being said, I’m aware of all that you said even not working in the game industry, nobody is blaming id Software in the comments, people blame Bethesda that has collected a sleuth of fuckups in the last couple years. Not sure if they use third party agencies but I expect a big company like that to have their own marketing dept. Either under Bethesda or Zenimax. Whoever oversaw this or created the brief “fucked up”. And it’s the kind of thing that maybe only 1-2 people are responsible for, but reflects on the whole company so they should probably take it more seriously. Or maybe nobody cares other than fans

Yeah of course, maybe should have made it clearer… I don’t honestly care, the game is sold to us, as you say. I wonder what will be the reaction of the “normie” gamer that will be enticed to buy by this, and then will be slapped in the face by metal music as soon as they launch the game. Probably still a non-issue but interesting to reflect on. I don’t think I’ve seen any game tv-spot that was actually good/interesting to watch.

That should totally be possible. I only used Wix ages ago, and you could basically create a completely custom theme then. Should at least have some options for this kind of stuff, because most of the WYSIWYG editors I've fiddled with allow for mobile-specific behaviours.

Bethesda what were you thinking?? [music scandal inside]

I think I figured it out, seems to be an issue with safari. I believe I fixed that issue with the text on every page using container boxes.
Yeah I was browsing on iOS Safari. Not sure how common it is for HR in this sector to browse on mobile, maybe tablet is a better case but I have no insight.
Yeah the content page is fixed, the first screenshot I posted still has a background, now it’s less blurry but possibly more distracting? I would just not have it or tone down the opacity quite a lot.

Just watched episode 1 & 2 and it starts impeccably.
The music is so tense, brrr

This is impressive, pushing Goldsrc to the limit… I would only argue with the draping in B, the poles are too in the way of Ts rushing out of tunnels, and the Egyptian symbols seem out of place. Tunnels is a bit too dark.

I don't think I would ever put aggregate play time on display... it's scary to think how much time was "wasted" playing.
Darn I still want to play this but haven't touched the PC in a while, and still have so many other games already purchased on my accounts...

Agree with the above, I mean… really S1 was great, already S2 had lost some touch for me. This one did some things better, but overall feels like it’s just meme-ing on 80s tropes.

Interesting hive-mind, in my ideas document I have:
- a mine concept as well (but I don't think that an open area is so easy to get a good layout for, maybe you mean it's easy to setup and iterate?)
- a de_convention too, but the backstory and setting would be different from the open plan you have there
