Brothers, dramatic, I think it's moving. I really really liked it.

and probably it's best if you don't watch the trailer or watch it just until half.

I know it's been said before, but better AI is what I want to see during the next generation.

Me too, there's no "next-gen" until better AI comes about.

Doors that lock behind you even though you just walked through them without any trouble (yes Max Payne 3, I'm looking at you)

Another facet of the same problem: cutscenes that trigger the moment you get a certain item? Like Alan Wake when you get the keys to the chopper and you still have to pick up the ammo on the other desk.

    Quote from Psy

I despise games with save checkpoints just before 10 MINUTE LONG UNSKIPPABLE CUT SCENES.

Yeah, probably checkpoints before cutscenes are the worst of the things. I've just finished yesterday to replay Batman Arkham Asylum and even if they have skippable cutscenes, you waste a good deal of time just because.

the only good QTE I saw was in Prince of persia : the two thrones [...] the QTE is launched by you, not by the game (it's a QTE used to eliminate quickly a guard without fighting)

Yeah, that is really a great implementation.

As most people i too do hate QTEs, but I have to say that, despite all my swearing while playing it, looking back I like the system that was used in The Indigo Profecy/Fahrenheit... after a while you got used to it, it actually made sense because actions where like mapped on what you had to do (like dodging a car). Unfortunately sequences were just too long and repetetive, giving the feeling of those video-games played over the phone during a tv-show.

I think that in the end it's a matter of context.

for me the reason to buy the new PS4. Besides, I really like Killzone's art style.

Is this really a killer app?

I always really loved the art in KZ, so much that I thought to seek a used PS2 at the time of the first, but then you watch the videoreviews and just think "maybe not".

    Quote from SpronyvanJohnson

Be that as it may, don't tell me that trailer did nothing for you?

    Personally? Yes.

It's gorgeous, but other than the astonishing vistas i wasn't impressed... i mean, we've seen this kind of stuff already. I'm curious to see more, but i don't expect it to revolutionize the "COD formula".

Last thing, i was disappointed by the gun design, i didn't like the rifle shown, if i think back of what they had at the origins, that stuff seemed a mash-up between current and ww1 weaponry

Personally, haven't seen anything that makes me think "i must have this console", except the console itself, i like the concepts it's built upon. Will see what MS has in cooking.

Great feed! I found out I had the sequel in the watch list on IMDB, but I didn't knew there was a prequel, which I recovered first the other day.

Good palliative for Saw fans i'd say.

Yesterday i've seen another B-movie, actually not bad as one could think.

i'm now curious about another movie the main actor wrote (yep, he wrote this script) since by reading the description seems the prequel.

Doesn't sound like you can be bothered, but you should give Halo Reach a chance. It's by far the best of the series.

I've heard this a lot, so as a gamer who never played the previous titles, I gave the demo a go: the space combat section is terrible in my opinion, controls are weird. Also I couldn't see motivation for all the praise about the AI in the infantry combat, seemed the average routine to me.

Given the reviews for Halo 4 I was thinking to give it a try.

why do you keep quoting all the negative reviews? there's far more positive ...

Uh? I thought the emoticon was a clear expression of my feelings. Especially after posting that IGN and Gamespy are saying good things about the game...! What I quoted is just from the Kotaku review, Chris. The Kotaku review seems harsh and gratuitous, my sentiment right now could be summarized by saying "Have these journalists played two different games?".

My intention with my latest posts was a critique to the average behaviour I'm noting about gamers. I'm sorry if anybody feels offended by those posts, it really wasn't my intention.

"I've always thought of Crysis 2 as an underrated game: it's a meaty, largely well-designed shooter that's polished, atmospheric, and gives players a ton of excellent opportunities to creatively blow shit up. It's also superior to Crysis 3 in almost every way. Crysis 2 feels like an ambitious game made by developers who were unafraid to take their time and get things right. Crysis 3 feels like it was hurried out the door, almost as though Crytek was clearing out old business before re-focusing on free-to-play games."

"Crysis 3's level design often feels overly narrow, but a couple of times it also feels too big. It's a cop-out of me to keep saying that "something feels off," but that's the best way to encapsulate the design of the game—almost every level just feels a bit off. Disorienting, difficult to navigate, with the open areas feeling too open and the enclosed areas feeling claustrophobic.""Should you play this game? NOWHY: Lovely graphics aside, Crysis 3 is a mostly mediocre shooter in which fancy visuals faintly disguise haphazard design and a lack of technical polish."http://kotaku.com/5985181/crysis-3-the-kotaku-review

Psy, something still bugs me about bombsite B. maybe you should have it trail off into the water as a loading section for the boats? [...] Perhaps you should add more hierarchy to this location, such as stairs and other routs that take you directly in from the top or above it using catwalks?

    [...]

What if you split the lower section into two ramps (each with their own cover options) that way the bomb could be hidden in either section? Adding a lower section like this automatically creates cover similar to dust 2's long A on the T side. Obviously it's not too great considering there are wall surrounding the bomb site.

I like the idea, and parallelism (to dust2); following up on that... what if the B site really becomes a "long", and the area is extended further into the water? (of course, not by any stretch as long as dust.) The plant area stays the same but Ts would have the ramps to cover from. The catwalk could become a big overarching walkable structure (cfr. cs_compound) or a huge lift used to move boats on the ramps, that would quite fit the theme I think.

Something like this (1 2 3) but instead of moving a boat along the ramp, it would "load" from one side (like a container lift on a dock) that you could dress like a "boat park".

Probably the areas surrounding the site should be revised then.

Seems nice; by the screens I see here and on the workshop, I would suggest to break up the ceilings a little bit (eg third screen on workshop, detach some tiles - in the contrary first screen support beam junctions seem overdone to me and just unrealistic). Outside the skyline seems would benefit from more height variation.

But i'm judging only from screens.

A top-down view for the layout would be nice to understand how it should play.

Finished Episode 2 of The Walking Dead, it's brilliant! I'd want more freedom to do something, see deeper repercussions on decisions, but i'm surprised how much this game is able to keep you there playing... and wanting more as it finishes.
