What about using stuff like HTML (on WebKit), like the guys of Overgrowth did?
Think that epic is using gtk for their solution? I know it's painful to maintain, but if you are getting license money you could afford to adopt the best solution on each os? (I mean then 2-3 different guy systems).
Or could you have your own engine manage everything, have the tools run in it, have the GUI managed internally?

Is it not hooked up at anything really? I think Sony has a free(?) game engine since many years, I remember finding about an OpenGL engine from them when I was dwelling into their site…
I find it odd how it's dependent upon C#/Windows though, with most engines/tools moving away from it.

Since I got here I've been so lucky, if I just had been less dumb... I am pretty much convinced I had a shot with each of these. The one on the right: she has a boyfriend, I have a girlfriend now... but I think I'd be pretty much ready to throw all away if she said the word. Who knows what the future holds.

looks great yes, but this section doesn't look ver representative of the best quality they can pull? I mean I would have chosen some scenario with large vista... but still, considering that Tomb Raider* is multi-platform, doesn't look much less to me.
Aside: the kid animations are quite terrible as well, they look so fake and keyframed.

You mean the first season? I think people got too used to the formula, and definitely the show hit a slump after the novelty... the daughter becomes so much of an annoying crybaby at some point you want her to die.
Last season was very good imo, looking forward to them closing this modern love story in the next.

Damn, I thought that Under The Dome was a one season deal, instead ends on a big cliffhanger and it's just by reading Wiki that I discovered a second season is already on-air. Apparently they want to run it for 5 seasons, but guess these things depend on the ratings

I'm just saying that as happy I would be to work in the industry and knowing that millions enjoy what I created... I'd feel a little bit guilty thinking how many kids would over-use and forget about other nice things there are outside the digital world.
Of course responsability stands on the parents, i've said that myself... definitely not suggesting that you should put in a game a prompt suggesting the kid to turn off after two hours to go play football outside or make the homework

I'm reall liking Under The Dome, just couple of episodes to go
Starting yesterday's session I noticed I was just below 60% of Arkham Origins… can't believe how little impressive this story is: I got to 90% by the end of it.
Also I think the sound mix is done poorly, dialogues aren't very clear, they seem to be on the same channel of other effects
