Of all the earphones in the world you're buying the apple earbuds? You really think they're worth it?

*side note* why don't inline mic/button systems work on android? that always annoys me -_-

Ehs, no I know they are nothing special... paid them about 9£, thought was a deal (on Apple Store they are 25!).

It's just that it was a last minute addition. I didn't want to spend loads on earbuds, bought them mainly because I might put my iPhone on sale on Amazon, if I find another with a more pristine frame (haven't yet).

Suggestion for some decent over-ear portable headphones? And since we are at it, what for gaming?

That's an impressive vista there... definitely needs some artist touch. If your layout matches the aesthetic you won't have many problems in finding some skilled artist help you out to make it even more pretty.

But of course if you also want to learn yourself have to get into the 3D tools... which I have never used myself, so I'm here wondering where to concentrate my efforts as I only have just that little amount of spare time.

To the others: I remember the posts about Wallworm over here, but it was my understading that you kinda create what you normally would do in brushes, and import it as a model?

Mmh yes, the thinness raises concerns on how much it would heat up, mine doesn't, full stop.

But why against dual gpu? Does that often creates conflicts?

Don't get me wrong, in very happy about my machine, it's just that when I lug it around is annoying and more than that, worries me of something happening.

On more technical aspects, I've registered with Epic the day after U4 became free. Will install the sdk and see how it performs in the next weeks.

Finally took the time to watch the serie. Interesting insights in the creation of the milestone.

Regarding level design theory, it's ironic that they end up talking of stuff that has been in recent years sold as new -- do you remember when they were telling us that the opening of Rage was built last?

Always wanted to make some Italy-ish themed de_ map for Counter-Strike, just never had proper time. Here's my attempt now

I think you are nailing it!

Do you have any reference to share, just to know if is somewhere I've been?

It has.Oh cool, seems legit but some spots are incredibly dark, definitely not up for clan war standards I think. That was just an example anyway, it didn't came out quite right. What I mean is that Nuke has always had a certain popularity, but I didn't see it being played nearly as much as it is today… it seemed just as popular as other maps that haven't been ported by Valve (and haven't been lobbied to get back).

I'm personally all for new maps, that would give so much more opportunities to level designers, but the way CSGO is working still doesn't incentive the adoption.

I have always been thinking of a "season" system like Shawn and Volcano were talking in the recent interview. Put up some big prize on a tournament with original map rotation, and people will pay attention.

Best advise I can give to anyone who wants to make their first game, is don't get caught up in business, that's for when you actually know what your doing. Make a great game first, with the tools that give you what you need. I've seen so many people arguing over royalties they'll prob never even need to worry about.

Yeah! That's what happened with the guys I was working with on the mobile games we garage-developed -_- they were like kids fighting over chocolate…

    Quote from AlexM

As someone who's used unreal 4 for mobile I'd have to agree Unity is better. Epic is working on it though. It's gotten better over the last few months

See that's what I meant when I was saying I would feel like trusting Epic better. They just have such big shoulders that you expect them to fix stuff much quicker than other companies. They're catching up in months on things that others have developed over years.

Yes, I don't understand this popularity! Until Source I don't think it was ever like that? At that time in fun so many served were set on a dust2, dust, inferno, office, Italy and awp_india cycle.

We played many clan wars on prodigy, I'm surprised it hasn't been remade by anyone.

Well you have to be careful, I never had problems in 20 years of basketball until 2012-2013. Once I got the whole shoulder and side blocked, had to help with the opposite arm to lift the other to move around and ease the pain.

Main thing you need is stretching, after your recovery.

Stretch every morning if possible, and definitely before sport activities

Yeah but that's why I didn't include the publisher: the money they take is all relative to the contact you sign, which varies a lot depending the game and company you represent, right?
