I really didn’t get what they tried to do with Day of the Soldado. I dunno maybe Emily Blunt didn’t want to be on a second ride so they made up this weird parallel universe type of story.
It probably would stand alone quite well (although I’m not convinced the story makes as much sense)… but I don’t manage to judge it on its own.
This scene is cool but doesn’t top the border scene from the original. I’ve noticed the sniper has the cartridge collector, but I don’t see the point of such detail if all the others don’t have them.
Yeah I couldn’t believe when they ported the game on better platforms, they used the PS downgraded version instead of the Dreamcast ?

Saw the trailer when it was about to come out and thought it was some crazy crossover between 13 Tzameti, Battle Royale and The Platform… in a Black Mirror packaging.

You say “castle on an island” as if it didn’t make sense… but you can find them 
I think it looks a bit cartoonish because of the scale, but you’re still working on it, nothing you can’t adjust.
The buoys have already been mentioned; in would ask the question “how the van got there”, just looks very fictitious, what I mean there’s no path and no visible ramp that would make sense (like the lower stairs on the right).
Another point that I don’t think work is the texture: painted like this looks very CS Source, it would make more sense to paint according to geography (plants like those prefer to grow in shade, so would be more abundant in your north – atm it’s all very equally distributed). For some inspiration of dilapidated castles I suggest you take a look at Uncharted 4, the first chapter is set in a fortress on the coast, and then there’s an entire town in the last few chapters. You can’t get as much detail in CSGO but it sure can be some inspiration.
That segways in: where is this island? You have palms and conifers which don’t help establish a theme, if it’s a hot place the sky/sun colour seem a bit cold, etc.
Lastly you have lights that are just there to fill the visual: they’re not highlighting any particular detail and distracting from the actual paths the player can take; I think the one on the left is good because on top of a door, I would turn off the others and lit up the lamppost top of central stairs and put something on the right where the other post is.
Otherwise for one of your first creations is coming up good!
I’ll replay the X360 version and get those flasks, or play the PC version I wanted to play during the anniversary… but I’m otherwise just waiting for the sequel thank you very much. Can you imagine with the new engine what they can pull off?

but I get the feeling they used UE for the VR support only, the assets seem to come straight from the PS2.
I would say: see a doctor and/or therapist ASAP. They should help you understand why this is happening and offer you the safest solutions.
Apart from that, stuff that you can easily and safely do yourself is:
eat well
limit screens in the evening I started leaving my phone to charge in the living room or studio so I don’t check it first/last thing
try reading
get off social media - not completely, I know you can stay in touch with some friends only this way nowadays, but if you know you’re spending lots of time on it, I recommend using your phone’s features to limit app use. Before they were available I disabled notifications (badges comprised) so I had already reduced my access and now I have a 20-30 min limit that reminds me.
If you try listening to music/talks (as I’ve seen suggested) I would suggest you don’t use headphone/earbuds. I used to do it a lot and I’d get pain in my ears or neck because of the positions you end up, or you wake up tangled in the cable… just put on a speaker and put an auto power off timer (spotify has it for example) so your brain is not bombarded all night (again I’ve done it and woke up with headaches), after all sleep is its time to process what you absorbed in the day, not to keep absorbing.
Ah! There’s a bunch of locations/scenes I never expected in this game, thought it was all slow paced.
Are the controls ported from the wii version? ?

I imagine I would be tempted to do the same, given the right movement options… I guess going through the main door is too mundane and people play games to do what they normally can’t.
Despite being one of those straightforward gangster/feds-fucking-over-their-man flicks, I enjoyed The Informer, just solid, easy watching. Kurwa!
