I really like that garage, one section of the wall really tricks my eyes into thinking it's 3D when it's actually flat.

The bit in the red box is what I'm talking about. Looks like the top of it is sticking out from the actual building, but the bottom half of the wall says otherwise.

Just something I noticed and I can't unsee it!

Apparently quite a few people who pre-ordered the dev kits are up in arms about it and asking for refunds because they don't get Doom 3. Goes to show who the consumers are and who are the real devs.

Who cares about Doom 3 anyway?

That is true. The only reason I played the SP part was because my internet was down and I felt like seeing some pretty visuals.

The only thing I didn't really like in the MP was the client-side hit detection. If I ran behind cover some guy could still hit me on his game. I guess it's not so bad since if you hit someone on your screen you actually hit them. It's just a little frustrating for the guy getting hit.

I really enjoyed the multiplayer half of BF3. There's lots of variety in the maps and now there are a few game modes for each there's plenty to do. Lots of weapons and gadgets to unlock and the vehicles are great.

The single player, whilst nice to look at, was horribly boring to play.

Sorry the answer to this may be staring at me right in the face but should the entry be made with probuilder?

Regardless probuilder does look cool. If I were to get into Unity I this seems like a great way to do it.

Detail meshes are heavily encouraged for this contest. We’d love to see maps that could be part of a real game, with details like light fixtures, crates and barrels, wires, anything that brings realism, life, and visual interest to your map. Of course, ProBuilder geometry should make up the majority of your map (around 85-95%). Also, to keep competition fair, any meshes must be either your own, or available completely free for anyone else to use as well.

    Wow, EA.

I am never buying from Origin.

But I agree that the online servers for older games being shut down is a real shame. Now, most of the games which have currently shut down their servers are still playable in a single player environment. What happens when they shut down the Sim City V servers in a couple of years? The whole game becomes unplayable. That is really sad.

It seems like a great game and I actually want to play it. But all this crap that's going on is preventing me from buying it. I wonder if Maxis was forced to go down this route by EA. Or if it was a "joint venture". I'm guessing EA forced this onto Maxis and to justify it they moved some of the simulation over to servers. But seriously, is it really too much for PC's to handle alone?

Mine is Ren182 I don't have Sim City, but I do have BF3 and play quite often. Probably going to pick up Sim City once the servers actually work.

Yeah I'm going to hold off buying this. Pretty much for the reasons Thrik said.

It just looks stupid having industry so close to commercial sky scrapers and picturesque suburbs just over a highway from it all. I guess if you put commercial in it's own zone and residential in another you could kind of make a large "city" with proper zoning. But then you don't really have to manage the pollution and stuff since it's all contained in it's own zone.

    Fail.

I'm watching "War of the Damned" now, which is the latest season. I think it's five episodes in.

I love the time period so I'm kind of bound to love the show too.

Also, can't complain at seeing some boobs and good fights every so often
