After watching it I think the graphics are going to be just fine. My new rig should be finished when this releases so I can't wait to see it running at max settings on my own screen.

It looks cool in that trailer. But we all know it doesn't play like that sadly!

I have two 27" monitors at home and they do take up a lot of space. Most of the time I am only using the one screen and the second screen just has mumble, steam, music etc open whilst I browse the web or play a game. It does come in handy when developing though. Then you can have your tools on the one screen and any references and such on the other screen. Saves a lot of alt+tabbing.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't go 4K anytime soon anyway since a 144hz 4k monitor is stupidly expensive (And I'd need a second 980ti most likely). 2k is probably doable and CSGO is pretty easy to run. I don't mind if other games get a lower framerate since it doesn't matter as much.

I will be OC'ing but not to extreme lengths. I just push it as far as I can without any crashes and not too much heat + voltage increase so I don't burn the CPU up. I might look into a good air cooler in that case. Besides fan noise doesn't bother me since I wear headphones most of the time.

When I'm not using headphones (Whilst in single player games, doing work etc) I have a good set of speakers (Logitech Z5500's) so a good sound card would be nice just for sound quality. Though I'm not a massive audiophile I can notice a difference between onboard and a dedicated sound card usually. I'll try read up a bit more on some sound cards.

But I shall be building a rig within the next couple of weeks so will post a build log or something when I'm done. Gotta be ready for Fallout 4!

So a couple of questions from me:

I've heard good things about the MSI motherboard. But I've heard a lot more noise about the Asus Maximus VIII Hero. Which of the two would be better? Is there a motherboard better than both of these?CPU Cooler - Which one of the Corsair H100's is the better out of the bunch? The GTX has a slightly bigger radiator and quieter fans if I remember correctly, but is it better?Cases - I have no idea what is the "best" these days. Obviously a good airflow is key. Which cases will fit the H100 in as well as looking nice and tidy? I know some of this is down to personal taste but I'd like something which functions well. I'm not a big fan of anything that looks too crazy. Currently I have a Coolermaster HAF X, which is probably as "crazy-looking" as I'd like.Is the sound card any good? It seems quite old since the description says "Vista Ready" over at OcUK. No idea what's good so if someone could point me to something better for around the same price I'd appreciate it.Lastly, am I missing anything from this build? I'm fine with building a PC and everything. I just don't follow hardware so closely anymore so I don't really know what's the "best" these days!

I don't really have any parts preferences or manufacturer loyalty. I just go for whatever is best within reason (not mega expensive etc!)

I was looking at cars on Piston Heads which did less 0-60 in less than 60 seconds whilst looking at cars again. There's a lot out there for quite cheap which can fulfil that criteria!

Like I said, the Civic is surprisingly roomy. Everyone who gets in it comments on it.

I don't mind big cars either to be honest. But I think everything feels faster in a smaller car! Not that I even speed or anything. But it's nice to know you have power available should you need it for an overtake or whatever

As much as I love my diesel, I've developed a need for speed so am looking out for something a little sportier these days!

At stock the 2.2 Civic will get 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds I believe. Which isn't all that bad! With the Stage 1 remap from Celtic tuning (Which they say is fine with stock parts) it takes the BHP up to 193 or something around that and the 0-60 time down to about 7 seconds. I'm so tempted to get it done

Yeah the Insignia is a bit huge, definitely too big for a single guy with no kids! Though the one I have has nice comforts. Built in sat nav, air con, plays music over the speakers via bluetooth and all that. But yeah, too big!

As I said I can't speak for my current Civic really but my last one was a dream to drive. I had the diesel version (2.2 litre) and it's kind of quick if you want it to be and you still get the good MPG out of it (60MPG on motorway - About 45MPG with city driving). It's pretty big on the inside even though the car looks small (Can comfortably seat 5) and the boot has a lot of space too. Has all of the modern features too (sat nav etc).

I drove one at a previous job and fell in love with it. Once I broke into the games industry I bought myself one so I didn't have to get the bus anymore. I had my last one for 3.5 years with zero problems apart from brakes and tyres needing replacing which is just general wear and tear! Great cars and engines to be honest!

If you really wanted you could get the diesel engine remapped to add an extra 55BHP for about £250 which makes it as fast as the petrol Type-R version

I'd recommend the car. A friend of mine has a sports car which gets 17MPG but since I've had my Civic he's looking to buy one for his next car.
