You don't get the point dude, nobody here cares about your map and your ideas, nobody here have the time to steal your idea, ideas are worthless, only a working and finished project is valuable.

Do you seriously think that something as simple as a layout and a map design worth to be hidden ? Here's the thing, nobody care about what you are doing, and the only thing that people care is the finished project, period, and this thing actually works for everything in life.

If you want help, the most you show, the most chances you have to get help from someone.

That's cute to see that the 'I don't want to give my idea because someone will steal it to me' is still very strong in the mapping field, you're sooooo cute dude, so cute.

I'm really enjoying making music with sunvox ( http://www.warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/ ), but using a QWERTY keyboard is pretty limiting when trying to put together melodies and arrangements, so hopefully this should help. My first midi keyboard!

Nice, soon you will want more and more if music becomes a passion

I have this one, and i'm pretty satisfied with it.

I've taken a look at Sunvox, and damn, that's pretty messy, you should give a try to Logic Pro, the stock plugins are awesome !

What if we do something like this shitty movie ?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanishing_on_7th_Street

Story plot : Space, alone, manage to find light or die. I think it would be really great, trying to don't loose the light while solving puzzle, non violent but you can easily die and only one goal but a very important one.

By judging the screens, the map lacks of polishing, your textures are really repetitive and bland. You should put a shitload of vegetation to add some contrast and your displacements / brushwork are way too simple, work on that and you could have a nice map.

You are sent to a far galaxy, when the core of the earth became unstable, the humanity had to leave the earth in order to survive, you are one of the least to leave and you are joining an old colony. Your spaceship crashed and you suddently leave your stasis phase. What happened ? Where are you ? Why isn't there any signs of life there ?

After some research, you understand that you traveled for 350 years, and you are lightyears away from your colony, alone, lost and out of scope for anybody.

I would like an end wich vehicle a strong and deep message that you can extrapolate to your very own life, by how much we takes our live so seriously, by how much we live like we will never die, is there even any meaning to life when you finally understand what really means the words like despair and alone ? I want a mindgame, where the player will do exactly what you want without understanding what he is really doing, and when all the pieces are finally together, the only thing that the player can say is "Wow, that's deep".

So of course, no weapons, no ennemies (except maybe yourself), only puzzles and the most gorgeous landscapes as possible.

Agree with Em', imo we should make something different, something without weapons like portal 2, like that since we are a mapping community, we will take way less time to try to tweak the AI and gameplay, and just focus on the level design and art.

I want something in space though, don't know why

Take a look at this, it's awesome, a lot of us could use this to show their new models

Plz make something narrative and not about weapons, a game in space where you have to explore the whole universe could be amazing imo

The first step in making a team would be.

    1. Ask everyone interested to join.

    2. Look at wat we can do with the people we have.

    3. Brainstorm about the mod, definition of the deadline and the goals.

    4. Recruit people we need right now, mostly coders if we don't have them here.

    5. Brainstorm about the story, theme, coding, engine, etc...

    6. Create a pattern of the mod, and iterate it until it reaches what we want. This pattern should be made by the most skilled in the team, the rest gives feedback.

    7. When it's ok redefine the deadline with the actual team.

    8. Split the mod into some small parts to make, everyone can pick up a part and work on it.

    9. Iterate.

    10. ???

    11. Profit

A cool thing would be to keep the creation process visible to everyone, not only to mapcorians but really everyone.
