I just finished replacing the Portal 2 screens and tried to tidy them up a bit. Let me know what you think ![]()

I think I'd remove the modeling page and just mention it in the CV. I'm not very good at modeling, so that's why I just say it in text and let the reader imagine what awesome high quality models I can make. Once they hire me its too late. The Portal2 screenshots are very messy, maybe find one or two cool angles, remove the weapon from view, and put some more effort into presentation?
All your level design docs are marked as "confidential" in the bottom left corner, which they don't actually appear to be, so maybe remove that.
Also remove the lines under each work experience how it relates to the games industry, because crueler people than me might laugh at that, and not in a funny way

Thanks for the feedback insta.
I've removed the modelling page, I'll grab some cleaner screens for the Portal 2 maps shortly.
Not too concerned about the confidential thing but I get what your saying lol

Getting rid of the lines under the jobs right now; would you expect to see a brief description of tasks done for each job, or do you think it is better just to show each job time, title, and company without a description? I mean, being a baker is fairly self explanatory I think, but Project Lead may not be so clear. For the time being I have described the two jobs that are less obvious: Project Lead, and Production Associate.
Appreciate your time and expertise insta thanks a lot!

P.S. While I have your attention I'm curious what you think of my level design docs; I came up with the structure myself and it makes sense to me but do you have any suggestions pertaining design documents? More visuals maybe?

Shallow means lacking possibility, outcomes or experimentation which the skill system is not. It’s lacking in long-term punishment for making a bad decision sixty hours previously. Most characters in Diablo 2 were running the same build because of this. If you want to give your character the wrong stats I guess you could use gems? There are item sets. Story gets weaker with each act.
The skill system really is lacking in possibility; every single time I make a witch doctor I will have the exact same skills at the exact same levels and there will be hardly any difference in the experience at all. Perhaps they could have made it so that if I use a skill more often I will earn runes for that skill faster than others. With the current system I have only ever found it appealing in that on occasion I have found that having a certain set of skills may have been more beneficial than another. Aside from that particular time, the skill system has been pretty boring. I can't say I want to put points into a skill and regret it later, but I would have been perfectly happy to just have to pay some gold to move points around a bit. Its really the lack of variety and choice that kills me.
Stats just like skills I think they should have left as a character option, just like you can select 'hardcore' I would like to select 'custom build'. Hooray item sets! But by now in D2 I would have found pieces... *sigh*. Shame about the story.

Here is what I think of Diablo 3 (keep in mind I have not cleared act 1 yet). WTF REALLY SHALLOW CHARACTER BUILDING $H1T
! Seriously, I understand that they wanted to stupify the game for people who have not played it before and WoW players... but why is there not an option to use some form of proper skill tree? Why can't I have a character that has really good dexterity, or strength? Without the ability to choose what skills I want to improve my character is the DAMN SAME as everyone else damn character of the same class. Also wtf no armor sets? Sets were the main highlight of loot drops from Diablo 2!
With all that put aside (*grits teeth* :comeback: ), Diablo 3 is still a good fun game; only when I don't think about everything they managed to screw up. I have been enjoying playing with friends and even on my own. When it comes down to it, it feels like a Diablo game, which is great. It just COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH BETTER.

Although, I can't speak for the story yet. It feels like a Diablo story, just as far as I am in the first act it doesn't feel properly connected to the prior story yet... Here's hoping the story element is a bit stronger as it goes on too.

I like it when this game crashes and you think it's just pretending so leave it 5 minutes.
Yea, having seen Indie Game the Movie, the first time the game pretends to crash I actually thought I hit a game breaking bug... lollllllllllll I would flip my lid if it actually crashed in similar fashion.

MMMmm... Bastion is SO GOOD!
I've played Spiral Knights before, it's ok. I think I was hoping for something... less MMO ish when I tried it. Worth a look though, its decent fun, especially with friends. -
Yea, it's nothing when you've got money lol. I just finished college and am looking for a job; I'm like the definition of broke atm

Heaven forbid a movie be actually like real life!!
I can't decide what to focus on when watching a 3d movie, which I can in real life.
I kind of agree, 3D tends to break the focal point of a scene and force you to admire the depth being created. Which sometimes I enjoy, but when it comes down to it I only go to see animated films in 3D these days. Pixar and DreamWorks essentially.

What really makes me sad is that this game is apparently giving QuakeLive the final shot seeing the competetive community seems to move over to it. ;(First League of Legends and now this.

Well hopefully there is more to this game than there appears to be, it has potential I know that much *fingers crossed as though people do that anymore*.
Also, I must express my disdain for League of Legends... I came from original DOTA way back... and moved to Heroes of Newerth which I vastly prefer. League of Legends is not my cup of tea. I guess that's what it comes down to. Actually at this point I kind of wish Dota 2 hadn't happened either, I've grown fond of Heroes of Newerth; the new heroes they've made, the skins some of the heroes have, and the over all feel are much more appealing to me.

Here's footage. Oh my. http://www.giantbomb.com/shootmania-sto ... d/17-5998/
I'm digging this. But it may just be excellent video editing, and a sweet song. We can only hope it is as fun as that trailer makes it feel

I wonder if it is at all creepy for the actors to have these toys made of them... Loki is especially creepy...

Hey Christian, portfolio is looking good.
A couple of things to consider:
- Your site is game art based, so I would recommend adding a water mark with your name email and or portfolio url on it. Sometimes people snag images off of sites that they think are cool and don't remember where they got them.
- Add your email to the top and bottom of every page (in the header and footer) so it's never difficult to figure out how to contact you.
- Add a resume link to the header as well; fewer clicks is better and typically I don't consider About pages to be a proper CV / resume.
That's all I could think of, keep it up:)!
