What's the point in doing these alpha an beta's if little is changed? I've been it from the first closed alpha and the differences are minimal. Even though from get go almost everybody is complaining about the same things. Just read some hands on articles after the last beta. Too slow, loadouts gotta go, no dedicated servers, rocket launcher damage is laughable, etc.

You haven't submitted anything yet and you still have +2 weeks to either fix it or make a new version. As long as you submit it before May 2nd it doesn't matter how many you've made.
Or do you mean submitting layout 1 for Phase one and come up with layout 2 in Phase 2?

If I remove everything I don't care for anyway, like changing skin, player color, etc etc, then I'm left with a RL that deals 55 direct hit damage and the best tactic seems to be to just run as close to someone as possible and shoot into the ground, cause the confusion kills him more than me. Than I get killed by a demon that, if I'm lucky dies from falling down into lava before the next time I run into it.
I guess this game isn't for me =D =D
Then you are going to love this....

I don't think that's the point. It's more about not being able to unlock it on your pc even though you have the password.

(I didn't get that when he first posted)
I like to think that on matters of encryption there's more to it than just policies, I mean technical aspects.
I'm more baffled by the much more basic limitation of OS X not reading NTFS drives (at least until some versions ago, despite them supporting dual boot), but goes both ways as Windows doesn't read HFS… while I believe Linux reads either(?)
No. I have a Iphone backup and all I wanted to do is transfer my contacts to my temp Android phone. But even without all of that, the backup is completely useless without the Iphone.

Now that was a damn fine movie! Excellent visuals, convincing digital world, beautifully shot, realistically animated, great voice acting and a more dark look for the all familiar story. It's been a while since I saw a movie that's so well put together. It has a lot of heart.External Content www.youtube.comContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. I have a question regarding Phase One. How detailed the concept must be for that phase? I mean, I worked on something in Blender 3d that I intend to bring in UT as static meshes, but the objects are not well place, scaled or aligned correctly to each other. Does it matter? Because, I was going for a modular approach and scale things on the go. Take a look and tell me what you think.
The green things are model height references and, as you can see, the roofs for the hangar and the silo have not been added for a matter of clarity. (It will be an interior map).
Thx.
As long as the gameplay if fully realized and you've got a functioning whitebox, you are good to go. People need to be able to jump in, play it and find their way around. Visuals are for Phase 2.

Who is going to judge? What's the prices? I also second Orion's question about status of the map in each phase. Shouldn't there be a separeted thread with all the rules?
Sorry but someone had to say it: Buying or stealing victory is forbidden in any contest whether it is a sport, chess, mapping or CS GO tournament. So marketplace and any non-custom models or textures as well as copied layouts and remakes should be out of the question. There are 2 ways for a designer: Either stick to the brushes and simple textures while focusing 100% on new and original gameplay OR learn how to make your own models while focusing 100% on new and even more original gameplay.

Nice Shades Master: Is this Maya?
Interesting huge scale concept, Orion. Maybe try doing some simple boxes in UT editor and exporting them back to Blender for scaling?
Welcome back! Have you read the contest article that's prominently featured in the top right corner of site? Also, have you checked out the other threads in the contest forum you are now posting in? You'll find all your answers there

I have know idea what your're talking about in regards to buying or stealing victory. As to buying assets, that's allowed. It's in the rules. You are of course entitled to your opinion but we do not considering that cheating. Not in a long shot.

Man, April is turning out to be one shitty month.
It started with me getting pulled over for speeding. That's a 334 euro fine. But, if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. Still, it set the tone. Next up, the wifi and gps on my phone died. It's in the shop now. No idea what that will cost and my temp phone, isn't working out that well. Two days later, my wife's car broke down. Bought the thing brand new and now there are problems with the gearbox. They wanted like a 1000 euros to fix it because, believe it or not, it was just a month out of it's warranty period. Hell no! That's not over yet (I'll never pay that).
But I'll save the best for last. I got a morgage for a new home (which they should have started building around now) but the developer has had delays. Now the offer for the morgage will expire and I'll have to go through all that bullshit again. It's going to be tight. Luckily for me, I've already bought a new kitchen for that house (since the deal was done)......
Oh well, shit happens. Nothing that we can't fix

-
Not to be a dick, but From Software has quite the record in crappy pc releases. So if you buy this on day one, you only got yourself to blame. Just saying.
You could argue that this is not how it should work, but by now the reality is simply that stable games at launch are the exception and not the rule.

Thanks for all the support guys!
I called Apple and you wouldn't believe it but this, according to them, is the only solution. Get a random Iphone, put my encrypted back up on it. Then back it up again without encryption and I'm good to go. It's so ridiculous that I have the back up, I have the password, but I simply can't do anything because I've no Iphone connected to it. That's some serious bad programming right there.
-
No Icloud @blackdog. It's an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S5) @laminutederire.
-
Any phone wizards in the house? Specifically Apple focused?
I've got an encrypted back up, for which I have the password, but not the phone. Without the phone, I can't unlock my contacts. Is there a workaround? I tried hooking up another Iphone but no luck.
My phone is gone for 2 weeks for repairs and apparently my contacts weren't on my SIM and I encrypted the back up I made. Temp phone is basically useless without my contacts.

It depends. There's nothing wrong with purchasing but you have to make sure you are allowed to use it in a commercial product (kinda like this). Most of the time this isn't a problem. Just something worth checking out. In short, we don't care where you got it from as long as you are allowed and have permission to use it, it's all good.

This one will feature a full single player campaign. I'm kinda interested in that.
