That was quite some work, but I've gone through them all. In total we have 33 submissions of which 26 work. Of the remaining 7, 1 is disqualified, 2 made the deadline but didn't provide any download links, 1 download link doesn't work and 3 maps do not show in game. I've informed these 7 participants. I've just zipped up the working submissions and send them to Epic. Of course, I played through them all and together with other Mapcore Staff members we'll provide Epic with our Top 10. Impressive work so far! Thank you all for participating and we'll keep you posted!

Since people apparently didn't understand the above and other people have nothing better to do than to make new accounts and continue, I've locked this thread and hidden the last few replies. Yes, censorship is frowned upon but this has gotten way off track. A small group of like minded people keep derailing these political oriented discussions with insults, hate speech and ignorance. It's sad that, especially in this forum, we can't have a mature discussion due to these certain individuals.

We used to have a political forum that got closed down due to similar reasons. We are a design community so we're going to stick to that. Feel free to have mature discussions regarding other stuff, but any derailing as mentioned above will quickly be dealt with including consequences for those involved.

Of course the best should win, but seeing as how Germany is WC I just grant it Italy more. I have to admit I forgot about 2006 though

So far it's been a really disappointing tournament. Mainly due to this new system of 6 groups of which the 1st and 2nd place go to the next round, plus the four of the teams who placed 3rd in the group. You start with 24 countries and the group phase only eliminates 8 of them. Meaning it's a bigger achievement NOT to advance to the next round. It takes away all tension and pressure. That's why we ended up with a lot of countries that had no right being in the round of 16 in the first place. Which also meant boring games. Like how Belgium crushed Hungary or how Germany destroyed Slovakia.

Countries like England, who were complete shit in every match, should have gone home immediately. I can't find a YT link but they made compilation of all the terrible passes Rooney made. It was atrocious to watch. Same goes for Portugal (which has nothing to do with my dislike for Ronaldo). Terrible matches overall, with the exception of one. The game against Croatia was probably one of the worst matches I've seen in a long time (both teams were terrible).

Luckily we did have some good matches though. Plus, teams like Wales and Iceland have stolen my heart. So much passion, so much heart. I hope Poland beats Portugal, seeing as how Portugal should never have survived the group. Wales should beat Belgium, even though Belgium is good. I find them arrogant (sorry @Squad). Germany versus Italy is going to be great. I hope Italy wins (sorry @FrieChamp). Germany is already World Champion and Italy hasn't won a tournament in a long time. Iceland needs to beat France (sorry @TheOnlyDoubleF and @laminutederire). Because honestly, they've been very underwhelming so far and had a lot of luck on their side.
